Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) UG & PG Satellite Courses Admission 2017

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) is a central university situated in Lucknow. The University was established in 1996 and since then has been offering higher education in various disciplines. In 2016, the University opened its satellite campus at IIIT, Amethi in a bid to expand its reach and make quality higher education available to a larger group.

Currently, BBAU runs a limited number of courses through its satellite campus in Arts, Science, Law, and Commerce streams. The admission to these programs begins around June every year. The application form can be downloaded from the official website or can be collected from the university campus at Amethi.

The admission to these courses is granted on the basis of a  n entrance exam conducted by the university. The exam is objective in nature. The entrance exam syllabus for satellite courses is released separately by the University.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Arts [BA] + Master of Arts [MA] (Social Science) & BCA

  • Integrated BA-MA in Social Science -5 years
  • BCA -  3 years (60 seats)

Eligibility:

Candidate should have passed 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) from recognized University

LLM

  • LL.M (Master of law)- 2 Years (30 seats)

Eligibility:

Candidate should have passed LLB degree with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) from recognized University

B.Com

  • B.Com ( Bachelor of commerce)-3 Years (60 seats)

Eligibility:

Candidate should have passed 10+2 in Commerce/ Mathematics with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) from recognized University

B.Sc

  • B.Sc. (Food Science & Technology)-3 years ( 60 seats )
  • B.Sc. (IT)- 3 years (60 seats)

Eligibility:

Candidate should have passed Intermediate/10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Maths for B.Sc.IT) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) from a recognized Board/University

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib.I.Sc]

  • B.L.I.Sc- 3 years (60 seats)

Eligibility: Candidate must have a graduation degree in any stream with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH) from a recognized university.


How To Apply

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib.I.Sc] , Bachelor of Arts [BA] + Master of Arts [MA] (Social Science) & B.Com

The application process for the satellite campus is conducted offline. Candidates can either download the application form from the official website or procure it directly from the university campus at Amethi.

Candidates must send/submit completely and correctly filled application on or before July 15, 2017 to the Amethi campus.

Note:The University will not accept application form


Admission Process

The entrance exam for satellite courses will be conducted separately for each course being offered. The exam will be objective in nature and will have 100 questions. The question paper will be in both Hindi and English and it is up to the candidate to select their medium of answer.

The course-wise entrance syllabus is given below.

Bachelor of Arts [BA] + Master of Arts [MA] (Social Science)

The entrance exam will have questions from General Knowledge, General Awareness, and English (Comprehension and grammar).

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib.I.Sc]

The entrance test for B.Lib.I.Sc. will have questions from the following topics:

  • General Knowledge
  • General Awareness
  • General English
  • General Mathematics
  • Concept of Library and its services
  • Awareness of Information Science and Technology
  • Some National and International authors and their books
  • Famous Libraries and Information centers

BCA

The entrance test paper will comprise of questions from General Knowledge, General Awareness, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science.

LLM

The entrance test for LLM consists of questions from the syllabus of graduate level law courses. Some of the important topics are:

  • Constitutional Law
  • Criminal Law
  • Law of Contract
  • Law of Torts
  • Law of Jurisprudence
  • International Law
  • Arbitration
  • Family Laws and Environmental Law

B.Com

The entrance test for B.Com. will have question from English (Comprehension and Grammar), General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning.

B.Sc

B.Sc. (H) Food Science and Technology

The entrance test for this course will have questions from the following topics:

  1. Human Physiology
  2. Biochemistry
  3. Applied Microbiology
  4. Nutrient and its deficiency disease
  5. Food preservation and processing

B.Sc. IT

The questions will be from 10+2 syllabus of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science.
