Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday Vishwavidyalaya (MGCGV) UG Admission 2017

Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday Vishwavidyalaya (MGCGV) is a rural university at Chitrakoot, India established on February 12th, 1991 by social activist Nanaji Deshmukh, through a separate MP Government Act (9, 1991). Approved by UGC, the university aims to provide higher education to people living in rural areas. The university is an institute dedicated to teaching, learning and research. The university provides admission to the following undergraduate courses for the year 2017-18:

The aspirants for admission in any of the above courses can opt for online registration. The candidate can fill up the online application form through the university website and submit the same along with required documents and processing fee, on or before the June 24th, 2017.

Candidates are admitted to the above mentioned UG programmes on the basis of merit to be determined by the Entrance Test and counselling, both conducted by the University.

For B.Sc. Ag. & Entrepreneurship, entrance test will be conducted by the Vyavsayik Parichha Mandal, (VYAPAM) Bhopal. Admission to B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering will be done on the basis of PAT and counselling at MGCGV. For B.Ed. /B.El.Ed. admissions, candidates should apply online as per directives of Higher Education, Department of MP Government.

Common Eligibility:

  • Candidate should not exceed the age of 23 years as on the date of admission.
  • Relaxation of 3 years in the age limit is given to SC/ST/OBC Candidates (Only MP State). However, there is no age limit to the female candidates.
  • Candidates from Madhya Pradesh and other states can apply for admission. However, 80% seats are reserved for the candidates of Madhya Pradesh only.
  • Candidates must appear in the Entrance test conducted by the University followed by the counselling.

All eligible and interested candidates intending for admission should apply online through the Institute website and submit the same on or before June 24th, 2017. Candidates are supposed to fill an online application through www.Mgcgvchitrakoot.com according to the following steps:

  • Candidates are advised to check and ensure the eligibility criteria before applying for admission.
  • Log on to www.mgcgvchitrakoot.com and fill up all correct details in Application Form
  • Upload the Scanned passport size image with signature as .jpg format

Note:

  • Candidate can download the admit card online after filling up the online admission form.

Admission Process

Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Retail Management & Information Technology) , Bachelor of Music & Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Farm Equipment Operation and Maintenance)

The University will conduct an Entrance test based on minimum eligibility criteria at the University campus for selection of the applicants for admission to the aforesaid Undergraduate courses.

The selection of candidates on the basis of the entrance test shall be made through the merit of the candidate which shall be decided according to the performance of the candidate in the entrance test and a subsequent counselling.

In all the professional courses (B.Ed. /B.El.Ed./B.Tech.), admissions are done through Central/ state level entrance body, however, leftover seats will be filled by local counselling.

Entrance Examination Level shall be of the minimum eligibility level qualifying exam, general knowledge, current affair & aptitude test.

Counselling

The candidates who qualify in the entrance examination shall be informed to attend the counselling.

Candidates who are selected in the final counselling process are directed to submit attested copies of the following documents along with their respective originals for verification at the time of taking admission within the stipulated time period:

  • Mark-sheet of the qualifying examination.
  • Proof of Date of birth (Mark-sheet of Secondary/Senior Secondary examination). 
  • Character certificate from the Institute last attended.
  • SC / ST / OBC certificate, if applicable
  • Declaration regarding non-creamy layer (applicable for OBC candidates only)
  • Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate from the Board/University/Institute last attended.

Reservation

Seats are reserved according to the policy of MP government -according to which 80% Seats are reserved for MP Candidates (having domicile certificate) and 20% Seats for Other State Candidates.
