Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University located in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, India is a public University established on 2012, by Government of India. It is recognized by UGC. The university campus flourishes on 28 acres of land.

The university provides compulsory English classes to help students equip with basic English skills. The University offers a range of quality education in professional and academic courses in the Department of Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, English, History, Economics, Geography, Business Administration, Commerce, Education, Home Science, Mass Communication, Physical Education, Political Science and Computer Application. The university follows a semester system for postgraduate level courses.

The University offers admission to following undergraduate programmes for the year 2017:

  • MA (Master of Arts)
  • M.Com (Master of Commerce)
  • MA-JMC (Master of Journalism and Communication)

Candidates with the relevant qualification can register for admission by filling the online application form and submitting the required fee, on or before July 11, 2017. The university provides reservation of seats/relaxation of marks for SC/ST/OBC etc. as per the rules of the Government and norms of the university.

Admission to the above programmes is done on the basis of merit of the candidate in the qualifying examination.

Eligibilty:

Candidate should have a qualified Bachelor’s degree with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) from a recognized university/institute

M.Com

M.Com. (Master of Commerce) – 2 years (30 seats)

Eligibilty:

Candidate should have a qualified B.Com. degree with minimum 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) from a recognized university/institute.


How To Apply

Master of Journalism and Mass Communication [MJMC] , MA & M.Com

The candidates can apply for admissions by filling and submitting the complete application form along with the required amount of processing fee and important documents before July 11, 2017. Candidates can obtain the application form by following ways:

  • Candidate may obtain the application form from any Corporation bank /Canara bank on cash payment of prescribed fee and additional bank charges.
  • Candidate can download and obtain the application form the official website. and submit it along with the Demand Draft in favour of “Finance Officer Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University”, payable at Lucknow.
  • Candidate seeking admission in more than one course needs to submit separate form for each course.

After obtaining the application form, candidate must follow these steps:

  • After ensuring the eligibility criteria, candidate must start filling up the application form manually.
  • Attach the required self-attested photocopies of documents and paste the recent coloured passport size photographs on the application form.
  • Submit the application form to the office of “The Registrar Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University Uttar Pradesh, Sitapur Hardoi Byepass Road, Lucknow- 226013” either in person or by Post/Courier.
  • Candidate must keep the Xerox of application form for future reference.

Enclosures:

  • Required marks sheets of the qualifying degrees
  • Caste/creed or reservation category certificate issued by a competent body
  • Demand draft of required amount drawn in favour of “The Finance officer Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University Uttar Pradesh”, payable at Lucknow (in case of downloaded form)

Note:

  • Application fee for General/OBC Category: Rs.500/-
  • Application fee for SC/ST candidates: Rs.250/-
  • Bank Charges: Rs.20/-
  • The application fee is non-refundable
  • The university also offers admission to foreign/NRI students in their preferred subject. The eligibility for such students will be the same for the Indian students.


Admission Process

Master of Journalism and Mass Communication [MJMC] , MA & M.Com

Admission to the above postgraduate programmes is done on the basis of merit of the candidate in the qualifying examination.

The admission procedure will start after the declaration of the first merit list. The undergraduate students will be admitted on the basis of the total marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Note:

  • If two or more candidates secure equal marks or rank in the merit list, then the candidate who is older in age will be given the preference for admission.
  • During their course, Candidates will be required to learn Urdu/Arabian/Persian and General English as a compulsory subject and will have to clear a qualifying examination of the same subject.

Counselling:

The candidates who are selected through the merit are required to participate in the counselling process.

Candidates are directed to bring the photocopies of the following documents along with originals for the purpose of verification at the time of counselling:

  • Mark Sheet/Grade Sheet of the qualifying degree course. 
  • Character Certificate from the Dean/Head/Principal of the University/Institution last attended. 
  • Migration Certificate from the competent authority of the University/Institution last attended
  • Reserved category Certificate issued by competent authority
  • Other certificates on the basis of which weightage/ reservation is being claimed
  • Other relevant documents


Reservation

The reservation of the seats is for the categories of UP only. Seats will for the reserved groups will be reserved as per the norms and guidelines of the State Government/Academic Council of University. The reservation of different categories is divided into two categories - Vertical and Horizontal reservation, which is below given in the tabular form:

Besides the reservation policy, the percentage of weightage permitted for Outstanding Sportsperson, NCC and NSS shall be 5%, 2.5% and 2% respectively.


Scholarship

The university has special “scholarship committee” which has several provisions to provide scholarships to the candidates who are undergoing various courses offered by the university.
