Indian Law Institute PG Diploma Admission 2017

Indian Law Institute (ILI) is a premier institute which was founded in 1956 primarily with the objective of promoting and conducting legal research. The institute has been granted Deemed University status. Indian Law Institute (ILI) provides PG Diploma programs in various disciplines for which the admissions are open.  

  1. Admissions will be made for PG Diploma Programs in respect of the following disciplines for the academic year 2017-2018:
    • Alternative Dispute Resolution
    • Corporate Laws and Management
    • Cyber Law
    • Intellectual Property Rights Law
  2. Students are required to fill the application form with all the required documents before July 3, 2017.
  3. The application form can be found on the official website of ILI.
  4. Admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Programs shall be made on merit prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
  5. First Merit List will be displayed on July 6, 2017.
  6. Classes for PG Diploma courses will commence from August 2, 2017.

Eligibility

PG Diploma in Law

  • Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G. Diploma Programs is a Graduate Degree from a recognized University.
  • Candidates who have passed or appeared in the 4th year examination of LL.B. (five year course) from a recognized institute/university are also eligible for admission to Post Graduate Diploma Programs.
  • Five seats are reserved for these students in each program.

Relaxation of marks for the reserved category

  • Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) candidates will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.
  • PH candidates will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

Kashmiri Migrant students will be allowed 10% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.


How To Apply

PG Diploma in Law

  1. New Candidates are required to fill in their details in the “Register” tab to sign up.
  2. Registered candidates can login into their accounts using an e-mail and password.
  3. After login, the candidates are required to select the course which they wish to apply for. This can be one of three options mentioned on top of the dashboard page.
  4. Candidates need to fill the ‘Personal Detail’s’ section as a next step. One may click on ‘Next’ button to continue or on ‘Save and Exit’ button to return back to dashboard click on x.
  5. Candidates should provide their address details, in case your correspondence is same as your permanent address, you can check mark on the check-box ‘Correspondence Address’ section to copy over the same.
  6. Candidates need to provide their parent’s details. Married female candidates can provide their Husband’s details on this page.
  7. They need to provide their academic details. They may also provide details of work experience (if any) by selecting yes in the drop down.
  8. One can return to their dashboard from any page by just clicking on save and exit button, their data will be saved automatically. In case of any connection lost, data will be saved and candidate will be redirected to the same page from where he left.
  9. All the required documents should be uploaded. Candidates need to be ready with their required documents.
  10. His/her name, father’s name and date on declaration page should be checked by the candidate before proceeding to the payment page.
  11. Candidate can raise their query against general, admission related or any technical query if they face any issues while applying for any course for ILI.
  12. Candidates can even keep a track record of their queries raised under ‘My Tickets’ on their dashboard.

Instructions

  • The last date to fill online application form for diploma courses is 3rd July 2017.
  • Application form fee is non-refundable. 
  • All fields marked with * need to be filled compulsorily. 
  • An Online Application Number will be displayed, once the student successfully submits the online form by making an online payment.

Students must keep scanned copies of their colored photograph, signature, 10th Class marksheet & 12th Class marksheet (if passed) handy for uploading.


Admission Process

PG Diploma in Law

Admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Programs shall be made on merit prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination

  • This will be as per the eligibility for individual Post Graduate Diplomas.
  • 5% weightage will be given to candidates who are law graduates.

Students will be given admission based on the marks obtained in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of the University examinations.
