Vardhman Mahaveer Open University was established on July 23, 1987, and was initially known as Kota Open University.

The University offers a number of courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level under various specializations giving a variety of options to the candidates applying for the university.

VMOU B.Ed. is a distance learning two years program. This Program is only for the in-service Teachers of the State of Rajasthan.

The registration is done in online mode only through the official website of the university. The last date of application form submission is May 17, 2018 (Tentative).

The selection is done on the basis of the entrance test which is conducted by the university. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in entrance test will be considered for admission.

Vardhman Mahaveer Open University B.ED. Eligibility Criteria

B.Ed

To seek admission to B.Ed program in Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, students need to fulfill the complete eligibility criteria given below:

  • Candidates should be working presently as school teacher and have completed D.El.Ed/ B.S.T.C/ JBT from a recognized institution or university.
  • Graduation degree in Science, Art or Commerce with securing minimum 50% marks or B.Tech with minimum 50% marks.
  • There is relaxation of 5% marks for reserved category candidates (SC/ ST).

B.Ed

The registration is done in online mode only. Applicants who wish to apply are required to submit the application form on the official website of the university i.e. www.vmou.ac.in/.

The last date of application form submission is May 17, 2018(Tentative). Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.

Students have to pay an application fee at the time of registration process. It can be paid in online mode through Net banking, Credit card, Debit card.

Steps to Apply Online:

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. www.vmou.ac.in/.

Step 2: Click on the link “Admission”

Step 3: Register by using email id and password

Step 4: Login after the confirmation of email

Step 5: Fill application form with all the required information

Step 6: Upload the scan copy of signature and photograph

Step 7: The image size should be less than 50K

Step 8: Verify all the filled information and click on submit button

Step 9: Pay application fee either of the available mode

Step 10: Take the print out of application form for future reference

Admit Card

Candidates who have successfully submitted the application form can only download the admit card from the university website. Admit card is a required document to sit for the exam.

It is candidate’s responsibility to make sure that, all the information which is mentioned on the admit card like Name, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Roll Number and Exam Center etc. must be correct and verified with original documents.

Students have bring the admit card at the examination center. Else they cannot enter inside the exam center.

  3. Click on submit button
  4. Verify all the information which is mentioned on admit card
  5. Download the admit card


Vardhman Mahaveer Open University B.ED. Selection Process

B.Ed

The selection process consists of written test. Qualified candidates will be considered for admission process.

  • Applicants found suitable for admission to B.Ed. Program in Vardhman Mahaveer Open University will be called for written test.
  • Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their performance in written test will go for document verification process.
  • Students have to present all the required documents original along with photocopy at the time of document verification.

Entrance Exam Patten and Syllabus

  • The question paper will be available in English as well as Hindi language.
  • There will be five sections of the question paper including Mental Education, Teaching Aptitude, General Knowledge, Expertise in Hindi and English language.
  • The total number of questions is 150 worth 450 marks.
  • All the questions will be in MCQ format (Multiple Choice Questions).
  • Candidates have to attempt all the questions in the duration of three hours.
  • Every question will have four alternatives among which one is right.
  • One mark will be awarded for every correct answer.
  • For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted from the total.
