Kerala Veterinary and Animal Science University offers three undergraduate and four postgraduate programmes. It also offers Ph.D., PG Diploma and diploma courses. The online registration will start from June 15, 2017 (tentative) and it will be closed on July 22, 2017 (tentative). KVASU has three faculties, viz. Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Faculty of Dairy Science and Faculty of Poultry Science. The University has four constituent colleges:
Admission to Ph.D. and M.V.Sc. programmes will be required to appear for the entrance exam conducted by university on August 09, 2016. Selection will be based on the performance in qualifying examination & the entrance test and interview.

The admission to Ph.D. programme is through an entrance examination and interview conducted by the University. It is offered at CVAS, Mannuthy and Pookode in various disciplines. The duration of the programme is three years. KVSAU offers Ph.D. programme in following disciplines:

The University offers KVASU Senior Research Fellowship of Rs. 5000/-per month to all students admitted and a Research grant of Rs. 50,000/- for research work.
You must have a Master’s Degree in the respective subject recognized by any University with OGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks at Master’s Degree level. For SC/ST candidates the OGPA shall be 7.0/10 or equivalent.
The admission to M.V.Sc. course is through an entrance examination conducted by the University. KAVSU offers two year M.V.Sc. Programmes in the following two constituent colleges of the University:

The University offers KVASU Junior Research Fellowship of Rs. 4000/-per month to all students admitted and a Research grant of Rs. 25,000/-
You must have a Bachelors degree in Veterinary and Animal Sciences recognized by the University with an OGPA of 6.0/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of 50% marks in traditional systems. For SC/ST candidates the OGPA shall be 5.5/10 or equivalent.
You should submit applications through online only for admission to this programme. The online registration window will open on June 15, 2017 (tentative) and it will be closed on July 22, 2017 (tentative). There are three following steps to apply for M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes.

You should fill the online application form available on the official website of KVASU uploading his/her passport size color photograph (150WX200H pixels) and signature (250WX90H pixels). The size of photograph and signature shall not exceed 30 kb.
After filling application form, you should make the remittance of the application fee in any methods as given below.
Making payment at Federal bank branches through challan:-
When the application is submitted, a challan in triplicate (with student copy, bank copy and University copy) will be automatically generated. Take the printout of the challan and remit Rs.520/-(270/- for SC/ST candidates) as the application fee and bank processing charges using the challan at the nearest Federal Bank counter.
Through credit card/debit card/Internet banking:-
Remit the fee at the time of submission of the application form through online payment mode using credit card/debit card/Internet banking. You should remit Rs.520/-/-(270/- for SC/ST candidates) as the application fee and bank processing charges.
After remitting application fee, you should take the print out of the online application submitted and send the same after affixing signature of the applicant in the space provided and send the same with the following enclosures to

Selection shall be done on the basis of the OGPA in the qualifying exam, score in the entrance exam, experience, published articles, interview and the extracurricular activities of the candidate. The rank and selection list will be published on August 20, 2017 (tentative).
It is conducted by KVASU for admission to Ph.D. programme. The entrance examination will be of objective type with questions on general knowledge and the subject concerned. The entrance exam will be held on August 09, 2017 (tentative) at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy (Thrissur) and The list of qualified candidates for interview will be published on August 11, 2017 (tentative) and it will be conducted on August 13, 2017 (tentative) at CVAS, Mannuthy (Thrissur). The Candidates will be considered for admission only if they secure a minimum of 40% marks (30% for SC/ST candidates) in the entrance examination.
The originals of all certificates and documents should be produced at the time of the interview and at the time of admission.MVSc
Selection shall be done on the basis of the OGPA in the qualifying exam, score in the entrance exam, experience, interview and the extracurricular activities of the candidate.Candidates will be considered for admission only if they secure a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance examination. The minimum is 30% for SC/ST candidates.
There will be a separate entrance examination and interview. Entrance examination will be of one hour duration consisting of multiple choice questions. The entrance exam will be held on August 9, 2017 (tentative) at KVASU Headquarters, Pookode and The list of qualified candidates for interview will be published on August 11, 2017 (tentative) and it will be conducted on August 12-13, 2017 (tentative) at KVASU Headquarters, Pookode. The originals of all certificates and documents should be produced at the time of the interview and at the time of admission.
25% of the seats shall be reserved for the eligible candidates sponsored by the ICAR based on AIEEA-PG 2016. At the time of admission, the candidate should remit the fee for application form and registration and submit the filled in application to the University. Seats are also reserved for candidates sponsored by the Government of Kerala from the State Department of Animal Husbandry. You will have to submit application through online.
