Annamalai University B.Pharm (L.E.), D.Pharm Admissions 2017

Founded in 1929, Annamalai University is the first private university and one of Asia's largest public residential universities located in India. The university is one of the first institutions in the country to offer courses of higher education in science, engineering, humanities, agriculture and arts. A pioneer in imparting quality education, it was taken over by the Tamil Nadu government in 2013 and has emerged as one of the largest public residential university with 10 faculties and 49 departments of study. The university also provides more than 500 courses through distance learning mode.

Faculty of Pharmacy at the university offers the following programme:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) – Lateral Entry
  • Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.)

Admission of candidates to the above mentioned programmes will be done on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination.

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility can register themselves by filling-in the concerned application form available at the university website. Completed applications should be submitted to the university office, along with the processing fee of Rs. 600/- for B.Pharm. (LE) and Rs. 400/- for D.Pharm.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate Diploma in Pharmacy

B.Pharm. (Lateral entry) – 3 years

Eligibility: Candidate must possess diploma in pharmacy with at least 50% aggregate marks in first and second years of D.Pharm. examination from this university or any other recognized university.

Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.) – 2 years

Eligibility:

  • Candidate must pass in higher secondary examination or equivalent exam with physics and chemistry along with biology, botany and zoology, mathematics
  • Candidate must possess B.Sc. degree with physics, chemistry and biology/ mathematics subjects at higher secondary or graduate level
  • Candidate should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission to the D. Pharma. programme


How to Apply

Graduate Diploma in Pharmacy

Candidates can register themselves for the above mentioned courses through the online application process.

  • Candidate should log on to the official university website and fill the concerned application form to register for the B.Pharm (L.E.)/D.Pharm. programmes.
  • Upon filling-in all the relevant details, candidate will be allotted an online application number for future correspondence. 
  • Candidate should also submit a registration fee of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST Candidates) through demand draft (DD). DD should be drawn in favour of The Registrar, Annamalai University and payable at Chennai
  • Completed applications, along with the necessary enclosures and registration fee, should be downloaded and submitted either by speed / Registered post or in person to the following address:

  1. 10th Mark Sheet
  2. HSC / Equivalent Mark Sheet

  4. Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC and BCM.
  5. HSC Hall Ticket/ Equivalent Hall Ticket
  6. Nativity Certificate – if applicable
  7. First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration


Admission Process

Graduate Diploma in Pharmacy

Selection of the candidate to B.Pharm (L.E.)/ D.Pharm. will be based on marks obtained in the subjects in the qualifying examination.


Reservation Criteria

Seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to ST/SC/SCA/MBC/DNC//BC/ BCM/OC communities as per rules and regulations of the Government of Tamil Nadu
