Amrita Vishwa Vidhyapeetham University has invited admission in Health Science courses under different schools at Kochi, Trivandrum & Amritapuri locations for the session commencing in 2016. Admission in UG courses under medicine has been finalized through entrance test of all India level & through direct interview. Diploma at UG level is also offered by the Amrita University.

Eligibility Criteria

Duration: 4 & ½ year with internship of 1 year

BDS (Seats): 80

Eligibility:

  • Students should have completed 17 years but should not have completed 23 years of age by December 31, 2016.
  • Student must have passed 12th standard in first attempt.
  • Students must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology & English individually and have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in English and 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology taken together, from any State Higher Secondary Board or equivalent.

Note: 1. NRI's and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) who qualify from foreign universities will have to produce an equivalent certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

2. Students, who are going appear for the qualifying examination in March / April can also apply.

B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic)

Duration: 2 years

Seats: 50

Eligibility:

  • The minimum educational requirement shall be passing of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course)
  • Students with senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), Pre-Degree Examination (10+2) or any equivalent qualification with 12 years of schooling from a recognized Board or University and 55% marks in GNM. Student should have RN/RM registration under KNMC at the time of application.

B.Sc (Medicine)

Duration: 3 years with internship of 1 year

Eligibility:

Student must have passed 12th standard with a minimum of 50% marks in English and 50% marks in Physics,Chemistry & Biology. In place of Biology, Mathematics or Biotechnology or Computer Science is also acceptable.

Duration: 3 years

Students must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Medical Radiological Technology) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Medical Laboratory Technology)

Duration: 4 years

Students must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.

B.Sc (Nursing)

Duration: 4 years

Eligibility:

Optometry (Lateral)

Duration: 2 years with internship of 1 year

Students should have passed 2 years diploma in Optometry or Ophthalmic Assistant.

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech - Language Pathology [BASLP]

Duration: 4 years

Students must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.

Diploma in Dental Mechanics

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility:

Students must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects.

Application Process

  • Students looking for admission in under graduate courses will have to apply online from Amrita University’s official website.  Application fee is required to be paid through net banking/credit card or debit card.
  • Students are advised to keep the copy of confirmation page of filled application form for future reference. Entrance exam will be conducted at Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi, Kerala (if applicable).

Admission Process

B.Sc (Medicine) , B.Pharm & MBBS

Final seat confirmation will depend on the rank obtained in common Entrance Test conducted by Amrita University at National level. Admission will subject final decision made by Supreme Court of India.
