Tumkur University UG Admission 2017

Tumkur University, invites all candidates to join their various courses offered at undergraduate level. The University is fairly new, started in 2004 after being carved out of Bangalore University to meet the requirements of the students from the Tumkur district. It develops and grows with a vision to "CREATE A GENERATION OF HUMAN RESOURCES TO SUCCESSFULLY MEET THE GLOBAL CHALLENGES". Tumkur is a historical landmark for a diverse cultural heritage. It now looks to broaden its horizons to meet the challenges at a global level. The University was given the grade 'B' by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in 2012.

The University has 12 postgraduate departments, 2 constituent colleges and 94 affiliated colleges. It established 29 research centers to promote advanced multi-disciplinary research and academic collaborations. The admission process is fairly simple and selection is only based on the marks that the students obtained in their +2 (or equivalent) exams.

Eligibility:

Candidate must have completed his 10+2 in Science stream.

BFA , B.Com & BBA/BBM

Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree from any recognized University with 50% (45% for SC/ST/physically challenged) marks.

BCA

Candidate must have Mathematics as a subject in his/her 10+2 level.

B.P.Ed

Candidate must have completed his/her 10+2 with the subjects relevant to the course.

Note: 1. Candidate of other Universities seeking degree from Tumkur University need to attach an Eligibility Certificate issued by Tumkur University.

2. Candidates with physical disability of more than 75% are not eligible for B.Ed. and B.P.Ed. courses.

Application Process

  • Candidates can obtain the application form from the banks mentioned below by paying Rs. 250/- (Rs. 125/- for SC/ST).
  • Application form can also be obtained via post by sending a self-addressed envelope to "Registrar, Tumkur University, Tumkur" along with a demand draft in favor of "Finance Officer, Tumkur University, Tumkur".
  • The filled in application form, along with the necessary documents, is to be sent to

The following documents are needed along with the form:

  1. Attested Mark list of SSLC or equivalent.
  2. Attested mark list of PUC or equivalent.
  3. Student Visa (for foreign nationals).
  4. Passport (for foreign nationals).


Admission Process

Candidates are selected on the basis of their marks in 10+2 or equivalent exam. The selection will only be open till the allotted number of seats remains vacant for that specific course.
