Central University of Karnataka (CUK) UG and PG Admissions 2018

Central University of Karnataka located at Kalaburagi, Karnataka consists of 16 departments which are spread over 8 schools and 1 research centre. The university offers 1 undergraduate programme, 7 dual degree programmes, 14 master degree programmes and 16 research programmes to its students every year.

The university offers different courses at integrated and post-graduate (PG) level in multiple disciplines:

Integrated Programmes offered:

Admission to the above mentioned programmes is done through marks secured by the candidates in theCUCET entrance examination. Candidates can register for admission to above courses through online application process and appear for the CUCET entrance examination. Along with the completed applications, the candidate must submit the prescribed application fee as follows:

  • General/ OBC candidates

Integrated Programmes – Rs. 100/-

PG Programmes – Rs.50/-

  • SC/ST/PH candidates

Integrated Programmes – Rs. 500/-

PG Programmes – Rs.400/-

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Arts [B.A.] + Master of Arts [M.A.] (Economics) , Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Geography) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Geology)

Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination in relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks.

MBA/PGDM & MCA

Candidate must possess bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with minimum 50% aggregate of marks

M.Com

Candidate must possess bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Management, Business Administration, and Equivalent from a recognized Indian or foreign university

MA

The course is offered in the following disciplines:

  • Economics
  • English
  • Hindi
  • Kannada

Eligibility: Candidate must possess bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with 50% marks

M.Sc

The course is offered in the following disciplines:

  • Chemistry
  • Applied Geology and Geoinformatics
  • Applied Geography & Geoinformatics
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Psychology

Eligibility: Candidate must possess bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with 50% marks.


How to Apply

Bachelor of Arts [B.A.] + Master of Arts [M.A.] (Economics) , Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Geography) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Geology)

Candidates are required to fill the online application form in order to appear for CUCET 2018. Candidate may fill the form partially and login again to complete it later.

Candidates will receive confirmation alerts at the time of registration and after completing payment through online modes. In case of offline payment through E-challan, the applicant will get a message after reconciliation from SBI.

Pre-requisites for applying to CUCET 2018:

  • Email id
  • Scanned photo
  • Scanned signature
  • Credit card, Net banking or ATM-cum-Debit card (for online Payment mode)

CUCET application process consists of the following steps:

Step 1: Candidate should login to official CUCET website and go to the “Apply” section.

Step 2: Click on the Registration link against the UG/PG Course which you want to apply for. After successful registration, candidate will receive a mail and message at the respective register email ID and mobile.

Step 3: After filling-in all the relevant details carefully, candidate should upload his/her scanned photo and signature.

Note: The photograph should have dimensions 200 x 230 pixels and the file size should be between 10kb to 100 kb. The signature image should have dimensions 140 x 60 pixels and the file size should be between 5kb to 20kb

Step 4: In the next step, candidate should register for three courses in a particular selected program from Central University of Kerala

Step 5: In this step, candidates can edit their applications and proceed for payment of processing fee through any of the following modes:

Online mode of payment: Candidates can pay the required application fee through online payment modes such as Netbanking/ Creditcard/ Debitcard.

Offline mode of payment: Candidates can also pay the required fee offline through E-Challan at any SBI branch. If an applicant pays the examination fee through offline challan mode of SBI, the bank charges of INR 50 will be borne by the candidate.


Admission Process

Admission to all the above mentioned programmes of the Central University of Karnataka is done through scores obtained in the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET).
