Maharashtara University of Health Sciences Ph. D Admission 2017

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) provides Ph.D. programme offered by the faculty of Medicine, Ayurved & Unani, Dentistry, Homoeopathy and Allied Health Sciences and Interdisciplinary field for which candidates are required to have done a Post graduation degree in the relevant field. University also considers Post graduation diploma if candidates have published minimum two research papers in national/international journals. To apply for the course, candidates are required to download the application form from the University website and send it along with a Demand Draft of INR 2000 drawn in favour of Registrar, M.U.H.S. Nashik, payable at Nashik. Reserved category candidates are required to pay INR 1500 as application fee. Selection for the course is made on the basis of entrance test followed by an interview. If candidates do not confirm their admission within the stipulated time period then their admission is subjected to cancellation. Once the candidates qualify the entrance test then they have to report to the concerned department in which they want to pursue the Ph.D. programme. The department will arrange the interview/counselling which will confirm the admission of the candidate.

Applications for Ph.D. programme are invited under the faculty of Medicine, Ayurveda, Unani, Dentistry, Homoeopathy and Allied Health Sciences and Interdisciplinary fields.

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility:

  • Candidates should have a post graduation degree in the field of health sciences from any of the recognized University.
  • Those candidates who have Post Graduation diploma are also eligible for the Ph.D. programme if they have published minimum two research papers in national/international journals.

Application Process

M.Phil/Ph.D in Medicine & M.Phil/Ph.D in Dental

Candidates are required to download the application form from the University website and fill the details required in the application form. The application form is to be submitted along with the application fee in the form of a Demand Draft of INR 2000 drawn in favour of The Registrar, M.U.H.S. Nashik, payable at Nashik.

The duly filled application form along with the Demand Draft and required documents is to be sent to the following address:

User Facts:

  • Application form is to be filled with a black ball pen in the candidate’s own hand writing.
  • Application fee for reserved category candidates is INR 1500
  • Application form along with the Demand Draft can be send to the University by person or by post.
  • No request for the change in research subject will be entertained once the application form is submitted to the University.
  • Demand draft should be drawn from any nationalised bank only.

NOTE: Candidates are required to present the original documents at the time of admission.


Admission Process

M.Phil/Ph.D in Medicine & M.Phil/Ph.D in Dental

  • To secure admission in Ph.D. programme candidates are required to appear in an entrance test conducted by the University. Once the result for test is declared candidates are required to visit the head of college/institute for further admission process.
  • When the candidates will report to the concerned head of college/institute, they will arrange an interview for the candidates.
  • Those candidates, who get selected after the interview sessions, are required to pay the concerned fee and complete their admission.

NOTE:

  • Candidates are required to go with a valid photo ID proof along with admit card to the examination centre.
  • Once the candidates find their name in the merit list, they have to confirm the admission by paying the prescribed fees.
  • If a candidate is unable to join the institute within given time period then seat of that candidate will be transferred to the next candidate in the waiting list.
