FLAME University Pune MBA Admission 2018

FLAME University is established as a State Private University. The University provides four different schools of learning namely Flame School of Liberal Education, Flame School of Business, Flame School of Communication and Flame School of Fine and Performing Arts under which16 major and 21 minor courses are offered. You get to choose from 200 possible combinations of Major plus Minor courses enabling you to have a wider prospective while deciding your career.

Some of the courses such as Postgraduate Business Programme offered by Flame School of Business and Postgraduate Communication Programme offered by Flame School of Communication are AICTE approved.

Eligibility Criteria

MBA/PGDM

The minimum eligibility to apply to FLAME University’s MBA programs is as follows:

  • You need to have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university / institution recognized by the UGC or equivalent bodies with a minimum score of 50% in aggregate or an equivalent grade (CGPA/ CPI/ etc.). If you are in your final year of bachelor’s degree program you can also apply, but you need to produce the final year degree certificate / mark sheet before 31st July.
  • Test scores in any of the following national level tests conducted in the current year – CAT (conducted by IIMs) /, XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ MAHCET or GMAT.

Note:

IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program.
XLRI has no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program.
GMAT scores are valid for 5 years. Please ensure that your scores are valid till the date of enrolment specified in the schedule.


How to Apply?

MBA/PGDM

You need to visit the FLAME University admission portal for PG courses.

Fill in all the details such as your entrance level tests scores, personal contact details, educational qualifications, achievements/ extracurricular activities and statement of purpose, etc.

If you do not wish to appear for FEAT, you need to provide your SAT scores.
You also need to provide your centre preference for FEAT (if applicable) and Group Discussion (GD) / Personal Interview (PI). FEAT and GD/PI are held on the same day.

Additionally, you need to upload your recent passport size photograph (.JPG or .PNG format, file size less than 5 MB) and scanned copies (self-attested) of the below-mentioned documents in support of your application. If you do not have scanned copies of the required documents ready at the time of submitting your application, you should upload these documents on the application portal or e-mail these documents to admission@flame.edu.in soon after.

The required documents to be submitted at the time of application are:

  • Copy of 10th standard (or equivalent) mark sheet
  • Copy of 10th standard (or equivalent) mark sheet certificate
  • Copy of 12th standard (or equivalent) mark sheet, in case you have already qualified the same
  • Copy of 12th standard (or equivalent) certificate, in case you have already qualified the same
  • SAT score card (if applicable)
  • Copies of other certificates, transcripts, and testimonials (optional, but these documents may have relevance in assessing your candidature)

Please complete all mandatory details carefully and accurately.

You need not complete the application form in one sitting. You can save and return to the application form as many times as required, but before making the payment of application fee.

Application Fees: INR 1500/-

You can pay the application fee through either of the following modes:

  • Debit Card or Credit Card (All major cards, except American Express).
  • Demand Draft (DD): Please make a DD in favour of "FLAME University", payable at Pune. In the application form, you can mention the DD details (such as the DD number, Bank, and Date). After submission of the application, please send the DD (with your name, program, and application number mentioned on the backside of DD) to FLAME University’s mailing address.

You may directly pay the application fee by cash to any of the FLAME University’s admission counsellors by purchasing a scratch card voucher. Please fill the number mentioned on the scratch card in the application form to proceed for submission.

Once you have made the payment, you can submit the application form. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with your application number. You will be able to download a pdf copy of your submitted application form from the application portal.

Selection Process

MBA/PGDM

You shall be selected on the basis of the following parameters:

  • Admission Test Scores (CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAHCET)
  • Group Discussion
  • Personal Interview
  • Past Academic Record
  • Extracurricular activities/ achievements
  • Statement of Purpose (SOP)
  • Personality Profiling

Flame University follows sliding principle for selection, where they shortlist candidates based on their overall performance on all the parameters enlisted above. As an applicant, if you score below average in your entrance test, but your application is strong in other aspects, chances are you might still get an offer from FLAME University. Obviously, the higher the test score, the better your chances of getting an offer letter. Your chances of selection are brighter if you have a strong academic record, well-articulated SOP, and extracurricular/ professional achievements.
