Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU)is a public university which was established in 1983. It is located at Amravati in the Vidarbha region of the state of Maharashtra, India. It is recognized under UGC act of Ministry of Education and is a member of the Association of commonwealth Universities. Candidate can get admission to the above mentioned M.Sc. courses through central admission committee. For admission to MBA courses, candidates need to appear for State Common Entrance Test and in MCA admissions are through AIMCET i.e. (All India MCA Common Entrance Test). Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidates:

For 1st year

  • Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification.
  • Candidate must qualify Common Entrance Test MAH-MCA-CET 2017.

For 2nd year:

  • Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification in Computer application, Computer science or Science (IT/Computer) i.e. BCA, BCS or Bachelor of Science (IT/Computer) appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MAH-MCA-CET 2017.
  • Candidate must qualify Common Entrance Test MAH-MCA-CET 2017.

Eligibility criteria for OMS candidates:

For 1st year:

  • Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification.
  • Candidate must have qualified Common Entrance Test MAH-MCA-CET 2017. Or Candidate must qualify and appeared in AIMCET 2017

Eligibility criteria for J&K Migrant candidates:

  • Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification.
  • Candidate must qualify and appeared in AIMCET 2017.

Eligibility criteria for NRI /Foreign National / PIO candidates:

  • Candidate must qualify basic qualification.
  • Candidate must qualify in AIMCET 2017.Or
  • Candidate must qualify Common Entrance Test MAH-MCA-CET 2017.Or              
  • Candidate must pass any other equivalent entrance examination conducted for the academic year 2017-18

Eligibility criteria for Minority / Institute Level:

For 1st year

  • Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification.
  • Candidate must appear for AIMCET 2017.Or
  • Candidate must qualify Common Entrance Test MAH-MCA-CET 2017.Or
  • Candidate must pass CET conducted by agency approved by Pravesh Niyantran Samiti.

For 2nd year

  • Candidate should be an Indian National and should possess basic qualification in Computer application, Computer science or Science (IT/Computer) i.e. BCA, BCS or Bachelor of Science (IT/Computer) appeared and qualified in the Common Entrance Test MAH-MCA-CET 2017.
  • Candidate must appear for AIMCET 2017.Or
  • Candidate must qualify Common Entrance Test MAH-MCA-CET 2017.Or
  • Candidate must pass CET conducted by agency approved by Pravesh Niyantran Samiti.

MCA

  • Candidate should be an Indian National and must have qualified common entrance test.
  • Candidate must possess graduation degree from this university or any other university with minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 45% marks for backward classes.
  • Candidate must have passed HSC and qualifying examination form Maharashtra state. Or
  • Candidate Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree by any of the Universities or other educational institutions

MBA/PGDM

  • Candidate must possess Graduate degree with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (for open category) and 45% marks (for backward category candidates and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).Or
  • Candidate must possess equivalent qualification recognized by ministry of HRD, Government of India.Or
  • Candidate Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree by any of the Universities or other educational institutions

Application Process

M.Sc

  • Candidates have to fill the online application form and obtain the brochure which is available on University website.
  • Candidate can register themselves by submitting the application fees of Rs.300/- for (open category) and Rs.200/- for (reserved category).
  • Candidate must have to submit DD of Rs.750/- (for open category) and Rs.500/- (for reserved category) in favour of “Registrar, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University”, payable at Amravati from any nationalized bank.

MBA/PGDM

  • Candidates can register Online by go to the DTE Maharashtra website and by clicking on new registration.
  • After that candidates are advised to fill all the details carefully and have to click on the final Submit Button.
  • After that before submission of the application form candidates are advised to preview the entire form.
  • After that click on payment tab and proceed.
  • Candidate can register themselves by submitting the entrance examination fee of amount Rs. 1000/- for (open category) and Rs. 800/- for (reserved category).
  • The payment of entrance examination fee can be made using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
  • Finally submit the form by click on the submit button.

MCA

  • Candidates have to fill the online application form and obtain the brochure which will be available on University website.
  • The admission will be strictly as per the merit on or before commencement of academic session for Foreign Nationals/Foreign Students/Persons of Indian Origin/Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries.
  • Candidate can register themselves by submitting the entrance examination fee of amount Rs. 1000/- for (open category) and Rs. 800/- for (reserved category).
  • Candidate can register themselves by submitting the processing fee of Rs.750/- (for general category candidates of Maharashtra state e, Outside Maharashtra State and J&K Migrant candidates).
  • Candidate can register themselves by submitting the processing fee of Rs.550/- (for reserved category candidates & Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
  • Candidate must pay fees in the form of DD drawn on “The Director, Technical Education” payable at Mumbai.

  6. Certificate recently issued by the competent authority to show that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer.
  7. Transfer certificate signed by Principal or Head of Department or institute last attended (with two Xerox copies).
  8. Physical fitness certificate from any Registered Medical Practioner as prescribed in the application form.
  9. No objection certificate, if employed.
  10. A self attested Passport size Photograph.
  11. Students from other University should produce degree equivalence certificate issued by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University.
  12. No duplicate leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate will be accepted at the time of admission.
  13. Candidate must produce the original leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate of the Institute last attended

Selection of the Candidate to the above mentioned M.Sc. courses is done through central admission committee.

MBA/PGDM

Selection of the Candidate to the above mentioned MBA courses is done through state common entrance test.

MCA

  • Selection of the Candidate to the above mentioned MCA courses is done through AIMCET i.e. (All India MCA Common Entrance Test).
  • Candidates are eligible for the admission who has secured non zero non negative marks in the MAH-MCA-CET 2016.Or
  • Candidate who has secure equivalent score in AIMCET 2016 are eligible for admission.
  • If the candidates score same marks in CET, then the candidate with higher percentage of aggregate marks at the HSC (Std. XII) or its equivalent examination will get preference.
  • If the candidate CET and HSC or equivalent examination marks scored are same, then the candidate with higher percentage of marks scored in the aggregate at the SSC (Std. X) or its equivalent examination will get preference.


Admission Reservation

  • 70% seats are reserved for the students of the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University
  • 20% seats are reserved for the other university students & students belonging to other states
  • 10% seats are reserved for the students from the foreign universities
