National Academy of Legal Studies & ResearchUniversityin Hyderabad was established in 1998. India today ranked NALSAR as one of the best law school in India in the latest ranking of 2013. It was also ranked by Outlook in 2012. NALSAR Hyderabad is the most prestigious law school in India. Candidate can get admission to this course above through CLAT examination conducted by the university.

Candidate can register themselves to the course by submitting the application fee of Rs. 4000/- (for unreserved/ OBC/ SAP category candidates) and Rs. 3500/- (for SC/ST category candidates). NRI/ foreign nationals/ NRI sponsored category candidates can register themselves by submitting the application fee of Rs. 5000/- through DD.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] {Hons}

Number of Seats: 105

  • Candidate must pass 12th or equivalent examination with minimum of 45% of marks belongs to Unreserved/OBC/ (Specially Abled Persons) Categories and 40% marks in case of SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates who are appearing in qualifying examination in April/May 2018 are also eligible and must convert grades into percentage.

Eligibility for NRI/ foreign nationals/ NRI sponsored category candidates:

  • Candidate’s age should not be above 20 years of age on 1st July, 2017 and 22 years in case of SC / ST / BC Candidates.
  • Candidate must have pass HSC/intermediate examination or equivalent recognized by the university and must secure 45% aggregate marks.


Application Process

  • Candidates can register online and obtain broucher available at CLAT website.
  • After that candidate have to fill the online application form and upload photograph, signature, birth certificate and category certificate.
  • Candidate can register themselves to the above mentioned course by submitting the application fee of amount Rs. 4000/- (for unreserved/ OBC/ SAP category candidates) and Rs. 3500/- (for SC/ST category candidates) either Online or through Challan.
  • NRI/ foreign nationals/ NRI sponsored category candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting the application fee of amount Rs. 5000/- by DD.
  • Candidates have to pay the application fee either by online/offline mode.
  • After paying the application fee candidate have to submit the application form for successful registration.

  1. Personal information (name, E-mail address, mobile number, date of birth, parent’s name, parent’s mobile number, etc.)
  2. Address for communication (including PIN code)
  3. Essential Qualification details (Percentage of marks/CGPA, University/college information)
  4. Programme in which the candidate wishes to appear (UG Course or PG Course)
  5. Three choices of CLAT examination cities
  6. Front facing Passport size clear photograph of the Candidate with clear lenses
  7. Signature of candidate
  8. Scanned copy of SC/ST/SAP Certificates in pdf format only (if applicable)
  9. Scanned copy of Domicile Category in pdf format only (if applicable)
  10. Net banking login and password to make the application fee payment via online net banking mode.
  11. In case the payment is to be made through debit card/credit card, then the candidate is required to have the information like debit card/credit card number, password, CVV number etc.

Enclosures for NRI/ foreign nationals/ NRI sponsored category candidates:

  1. Copy of the Passport of the applicant / Sponsor.
  2. Latest Character certificate from the institution last attended indicating that he/she has never been found guilty of misconduct during the study period.
  3. School leaving Certificate/ College leaving Certificate.
  4. Statement of marks at the qualifying examination (Intermediate/PUC/HSC/Etc.) and 10th standard.
  5. Copy of the statement of marks at the Qualifying Examination (i.e. equivalent to Intermediate /PUC /HSC /etc) and percentage / conversion certificate in case of Grades.
  6. Copy of the Birth Certificate.
  7. Medical Certificate.
  8. Eight Stamp Sized Photographs of the Candidate.
  9. One Photograph of the Local Guardian (who shall be a near/close relative) if any.
  10. Migration Certificate.


Admission Process

Selection of the candidate will be based on the rank in the merit list of CLAT 2018 examination conducted by the university.


Admission Reservation

  • 30% seats are reserved for female candidates for admission to B.A, L.L.B (Hons) course. 15 seats are reserved for the foreign national candidates. Category wise seat distribution in B.A-LL.B course is given as following:
