Universityoffers various courses having course level under graduate (UG)andpost graduate (PG); programmes in these course levels are discussed as following in various disciplines:

Under graduate course:

  • Basic B.Sc. Nursing – (4 years)
  • Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing – (2 years)

Post graduate course:

  • M. Sc. Nursing – (2 years)

Candidate can get admission to the above mentioned courses through NAIET (i.e. All India Entrance Test).

Candidate can register themselves in the B.Sc Nursing course by submitting the registration fee of amount Rs. 1250/-  and in the post Basic B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing by submitting the registration fee of amount Rs. 1500/- by DD.

Eligibility

B.Sc (Nursing)

  • Candidates should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination in PCB from a recognized board with minimum 45% of marks (40% for SC/ST categories of backward classes).
  • Candidates must pass in NAIET (i.e. All India Entrance Test) examination.

Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing Eligibility :-

  • Candidate must be Indian National.
  • Candidate must pass the higher secondary or senior secondary or intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by the university.
  • Candidates must pass in NAIET (i.e. All India Entrance Test) examination and shall be medically fit.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Nursing)

  • Candidate should be registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent with any state nursing registration council.
  • Candidate must possess B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. / Post Basic B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council with minimum 55% of marks.
  • Candidate must have minimum one year of work experience after basic B.Sc nursing or post B.Sc nursing.
  • Candidate should be medically fit and 5% relaxation of marks given to SC/ST candidates.

Age limit eligibility:

Candidate must be 17 years of age or attain this age as on 31.12.2016


How To Apply

B.Sc (Nursing) & M.Sc (Nursing)

  • Candidate must have to submit the entrance test fee of amount Rs. 1250/- for basic B.Sc Nursing course by DD drawn in favour of “D. Y. Patil University” Navi Mumbai from a Nationalized /Scheduled Bank, payable at Navi Mumbai / Mumbai.
  • Candidate must have to submit the entrance test fee of amount Rs. 1500/- for post B.Sc Nursing or M.Sc Nursing course by DD drawn in favour of “D. Y. Patil University” Navi Mumbai from a Nationalized /Scheduled Bank, payable at Navi Mumbai / Mumbai.
  • Candidate must have to submit application form and all the attested documents at the following address:

  1. S.S.C/Equivalent Examination mark statement & Certificate

  3. NAIET 2016 mark statement
  4. Leaving /Transfer Certificate from the Institute last attended
  5. Gap certificate
  6. Nationality Certificate/ Domicile certificate from Government office
  7. Backward class Caste & Caste Verification certificate
  8. Affidavit signed by you and by your parent / guardian in the presence of Notary Public on a stamp paper.
  9. Passport (in case of Foreign Nationals / Wards of Persons of Indian Origin / Wards of Non Resident Indians)
  10. Physical Fitness certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner as per Annexure IV.
  11. Migration Certificate for candidates outside Maharashtra State.

Enclosures for Basic post B.Sc Nursing:

  1. General Nursing & Midwifery Exam marks statements
  2. S.S.C/Equivalent Examination mark statement & Certificate

  4. Bonafide and character certificate from the Head of Institution last attended.
  5. Leaving /Transfer Certificate from the Institute last attended

  11. 3% disability reservation is given to the candidates with a disability of locomotive to the tune of 40% to 50% of lower extremity. A committee may decide whether the candidates have disability of locomotive of 40% to 50%.
  12. Parent Nursing Council Registration Certificate with RN/RM No.
  13. Maharashtra Nursing Council Registration / Document of application of MNC Registration.
  14. TNAI Registration.
  15. Physical Fitness certificate from a registered Medical Practitioner as per Annexure IV

Admission Process

B.Sc (Nursing) & M.Sc (Nursing)

Selection of the candidate will be based on the rank secured in the merit list in NAIET (i.e. All India Entrance Test) examination.


Admission Reservation

  • 15% seats are reserved for the Foreign National / PIO / NRI category candidates.
  • Reservations of seats will be as per the directives of the Government of India

Counselling process:

  • The candidates who have secured minimum 45% of marks in the entrance test will be short listed for counselling.
  • Physical presence of the candidates at the time of counselling is essential.
  • Candidates must bring original documents for verification at the time of counselling.
