D Y Patil University, situated in Navi Mumbai, was established in 2002 with a vision to provide quality education in all spheres of high learning and health services in India. The university has evolved to become a leader in nine specific constituents graduating students in different fields. It has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade.

School of Ayurveda, DY Patil University, was established in Oct. 2004 and is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra, Central Council of Indian Medicine & Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & family welfare, Government of India, New Delhi, UGC & NAAC. The Institute is also associated with a 151-bed teaching Ayurvedic hospital in its campus. This is having state of the art facilities for health care and treatment.

The University offers the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) Programme for a duration of four & half years and one year rotating Internship. The University also offers the three year duration postgraduate Ayurved Courses MD/MS Ayurved Vachaspati/ Ayurved Dhanvantri.

The University invites applications for admission to the BAMS and MD/MS Ayurved programmes for the academic year 2016-17. The admission to both the programmes is through all – India Entrance Tests AIET - AYURVED 2017 and AIPGET – AYURVED 2017 respectively, the application process to which is available online and must be completed by August 4th, 2017. The entrance tests for both the programmes will be held on the same day on August 10th, 2017.

Eligibility

BAMS

You should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the first attempt with aggregate of 50% marks for general category and for 40% marks for reserved category in PCB from any statutory Board.

Nationality: You should be an Indian national.

Age: You must be at least 17 years of age as on December 31st, 2017.

MD & MS

Eligibility Criteria:

You must have passed B.A.M.S. Examination from a CCIM /AYUSH recognized Ayurved College and should have obtained registration either from the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi / Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine or Any recognized state council/ board after completion of one year rotating Internship training.

If you are undergoing one year rotating internship training and likely to obtain final registration certificate on or before October 30th, 2017, you are also eligible provided you submit a certificate from the Principal / Dean of the College regarding the likely date of completion of your rotating internship training.

Nationality: You should be an Indian national.

MD & MS

You should obtain the AIPGET- AYURVED 2017 Application form online by visiting University website under section “All India Entrance Test 2017”.

You should fill the form with the required personal and educational details. You must type in capital letters only and select the appropriate box.

You must then upload a scanned photograph in JPEG format sizing 150 x 150 pixels.

Application Fee: You should pay Rs. 3000 by online mode, cash, or demand draft drawn in favour of D. Y. Patil University payable at Navi Mumbai. You should write your full name, address, mobile number and I.D. number on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.

For cash payment, you should make it at the address given below. If you have made your payment via Demand Draft, you must send it along with your Application form at the following address:

Admission Process

BAMS

You will be selected on the basis of the all India Entrance Test 2017 referred as AIET - AYURVED 2017. The AIET - AYURVED 2016 will be of three hours duration. There will be one question paper at the Entrance Test in English medium containing 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs), 50 each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Each correct answer carries one mark. There is no negative marking. The syllabus for the exam will be CBSE Delhi Board syllabus of 12th standard.

You should be able to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the AIET – AYURVED exam.

MD & MS

You will be selected on the basis of AIPGET – AYURVED 2017. The examination will be of two hours duration containing 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs). The questions in the examination will be of single best response objective type with four answer options. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There shall be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The Examinations will be conducted in English.

Syllabus: For the Entrance test, C.C.I.M., New Delhi approved syllabus of B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharya) will be applicable. The Entrance Test shall be of the standard of B. A. M. S. Examination and shall cover all the subjects of the B.A.M.S. course.

Reservation

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) Programme :-

25% seats will be reserved for Foreign National / PIO / NRI category.

MD/MS Programme (Ayurved Vachaspati/ Ayurved Dhanvantri):-

Among the total seats, 50% of the seats are reserved for Management quota.
