Bharati Vidyapeeth University (BVDU) is a deemed to be university situated primarily in Pune with campuses also in New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur and Karad. Today Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has 32 constituent units and is one of India's largest multi-disciplinary multi-campus universities.

The University is a member of Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. It is really credible for this nascent University to have received ‘A’ Grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Some of the constituent units of the University have also been accredited with ‘A’ Grade by the National Board of Accreditation. Hence the degrees given in these colleges of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University are recognized in India and abroad.

The university invites applications for the admission to various undergraduate programmes under faculties ranging from Faculty of Arts, Commerce and Science, Faculty of Law, to Faculty of Architecture, for the academic year 2016-17. The admission to various constituent and affiliated colleges, for most of these programmes is through a Common Entrance Test conducted by the University specific to the course applied for. The applications can be downloaded from the website and thereafter submitted to the University in person or by post.

BA

You should have passed the HSC/Equivalent Examination from a recognised Board.

Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]

You should have passed the HSC/Equivalent Examination with at least 45% marks from a recognised Board.

Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]

You should have passed her Higher Secondary Certificate Exam (10+2) from any recognized School / College / Board.

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] & Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.]

You should have passed her Higher Secondary Certificate Exam (10+2) from any recognized School / College / Board.

Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.]

You should have any graduate degree from any recognised University.

B.Sc

B.Sc. Programme

Eligibility Criteria:

For Computer Science: You should have passed the H. S. C. (Science) or equivalent examination of any statutory Board with Physics, & Mathematics.

For Agriculture: You should have passed the H. S. C. or equivalent examination with Biology as one of the subjects of any statutory Board in the science stream.

For Biotechnology: should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or mathematics & English individually and must have obtained 55% marks for general category and 50% marks for SC/ST category from Maharashtra state only, in Physics, Chemistry & Biology or mathematics taken together at the qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C./10+2 or equivalent. 

For Nursing:

  • You should have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together at the qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C./10+2 or ICSE or PUC.
  • Age: You should be a minimum of 17 years of age.

For others: You should have passed the H. S. C. or equivalent examination of any statutory Board in the science stream.

B.Pharm

You should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or mathematics & English individually and must have obtained 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for SC/ST category of Maharashtra state only, in Physics, Chemistry & Biology or mathematics taken together at the qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C./10+2 or equivalent.

For Direct Admission: You should have passed Diploma in Pharmacy with at least 50% marks.

Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology [BHMCT]

You should have passed HSC or equivalent with compulsory English and scored a minimum of 45 % marks in aggregate at HSC (standard XII) examination.

Bachelor of Optometry [B.Optom]

You should have successfully completed H.S.C./10+2 or equivalent with min 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics & Pass in English.

Nationality: You should be an Indian national.

Age: You should be a minimum of 17 years of age.

BASLP (Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology) Programme

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or mathematics & English individually and must have obtained 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology or mathematics taken together at the qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C./10+2 or equivalent.


How To Apply

BA , B.Pharm & B.Sc

You can obtain the Application Form either from any of the University campuses in person or download it from the University website under the “Online CET Registration” tab.

If you have downloaded it from the website, you should take a printout of the form. You must fill the form with the required personal and educational details.

You should also select your choice of centre of examination.

You should be careful to avoid overwriting, cutting, erasing on the form. Any discrepancies in the statements and/or submission of incomplete form will lead to its rejection/cancellation of admission.

Application Fee: You should pay the following fee as Application fee either in the form of cash or by a Demand Draft drawn on any nationalised bank or Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd. In favour of “The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune” and payable at Pune.

Admission Process

BA

You will be selected on the basis of fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]

You will be selected on the basis of an examination that consists of a single question paper comprising 200 objective type questions for the duration of three hours. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking. The paper carries a maximum of 200 marks

The break-up of questions will be as follows:

  • Test of Numerical Aptitude (60)
  • Test of Reasoning / Logical Aptitude (60)
  • Test of Verbal Ability (60)
  • Test of Reading Comprehension (60)

Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch.]

You should hold a minimum of 40% in NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) Examination.

B.Com

You will be selected on the basis of an Entrance Exam conducted by the University.

Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] , Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] & Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.]

You will be selected on the basis of LLB Entrance Test 2017. The question paper will consist of 100 objective type questions. There shall be no negative marking.

There will be 25 questions on each of the following sections in the paper:

  • English Grammar, Usage and Comprehension;
  • Legal Aptitude, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning;
  • Current Legal News and General Knowledge;
  • Social Sciences with an emphasis on Indian Constitution and Political System in India

B.Sc

You will be selected on merit on the basis of the marks obtained by you in the Entrance Test conducted by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.

The examination consists of one question paper. It will be set in English medium and will contain 100 multiple-choice objective type questions with four options A, B, C, & D with only one correct choice. It will consists of 25 questions each on Physics and Chemistry and the remaining 25 each on Botany and Zoology (for B.Sc. Nursing) or 25 on Biology(optional) and Mathematics (optional) for the rest of the courses where the question on Physics and Chemistry will be compulsory . There shall be no negative marking for an incorrect answer. The question will be on HSC or 10+2 examination standard.

Bachelor of Pharmacy [B.Pharm]

You will be selected on merit on the basis of the marks obtained by you in the Entrance Test PHARMUG - 2017 conducted by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.

The examination consists of one question paper. It will be set in English medium and will contain 200 multiple-choice objective type questions with four options A, B, C, & D with only one correct choice. It will consists 100 questions on Chemistry and 100 questions on Physics. There shall be no negative marking for an incorrect answer.

Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology [BHMCT]

You will be selected on the basis of an Entrance Test HM- 2017.

The test will consist of one paper having 100 multiple choice questions. The duration of the test will be two hours. Each correct answer shall carry one mark. There shall be no negative marking for an incorrect answer. It will consist of the following 5 sections with 20 questions each:

  1. Reasoning and Logical Deduction
  2. Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude
  3. Service and Hospitality Aptitude
  4. General Knowledge
  5. English Language

Bachelor of Optometry [B.Optom]

For both B. Optometry and BASLP Programme: You will be selected on the basis of a Common Entrance Test conducted by the University.

The test will consist of one paper, set in English. It will contain 100 multiple choice questions with 25 each on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. The 50 questions from Physics and Chemistry will be compulsory and you can attempt either Biology or Mathematics as those will be optional. Each correct answer will fetch one mark with no negative marking for an incorrect answer.


Reservation

The reservation criteria will be as per the norms prescribed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
