Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha is a deemed university which was established in 1956. The university was certified under UGC Act of section 3 in the field of higher learning in Sanskrit studies, Traditional Sastras and Sanskrit Teacher Education. It is also re-accredited by NAAC with A grade.

Candidate can get admission to all the above mentioned courses through interview conducted by the university.

Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned course by submitting the application fee along with DD of amount Rs. 200/-.

Eligibility

Master of Arts [MA] (Acharya)

Eligibility

  • Candidate must have passed 3 years degree course in Sastri or respective subjects
  • Candidates having Sanskrit as Second language or one of the subjects in group at Graduate Level are also eligible for admission into Acharya in Sahitya, Puranetihasa and Dharmasastra.
  • Candidate must have completed 2 years degree course with Bridge course of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati or Sri Lal Bahadur Sastri Rashtirya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, New Delhi or Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi
  • Candidate must have given Siromani Final examination of Madras University, Chennai or Annamalai University, Annamalai Nagar.
  • Candidate must have passed Siromani Final examination of Madras University, Chennai S.V. University, Tirupati or Sastra Bhushana Final examination of Kerala Government.
  • Candidate must have appeared in Vidyapraveena final examination of Andhra University, Waltair.
  • Candidate must have given Vidyalankara and Vedalankara examinations of Gurukula Kangeri Viswavidyalaya, Haridwar
  • Candidate must have given Vidwat Madyama examination of Karnataka Government
  • Candidate must have completed B.A.(O.L)/B.A.(L),B.A./B.A(Hons.)/B.O.L equivalent examinations with Sanskrit of all recognized universities.
  • Candidate must have given any other examination recognized by the Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha as equivalent to Sastri.

Age limit eligibility

Candidate age must be minimum of 20 years as on 01-06-2018.

Masters in Ancient Indian Management Techniques:

Eligibility

Candidate must be graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% of marks.

Age limit eligibility

Candidates’ age should be minimum 20 years.

Master of Arts [MA] (Sanskrit)

Candidate must possess Sastri/ B.A. / or any other equivalent degree with Computer Science/Computer Applications or sufficient Computer background.

Candidate must possess B.A./B.Sc./BCA/ or any other equivalent degree with Sanskrit and Computer Science or Mathematics background.

M.A Hindi: -

Eligibility

  • Candidate must be Any Graduate / equivalent to Graduate with second language Hindi / optional Hindi.
  • Candidate must be any Graduate without Hindi at graduate level or as subject at graduate level.

Age limit eligibility

Candidate age must be minimum of 20 years as on 01-06-2018.


How To Apply

MA , M.Sc & PG Diploma in Arts

  • Candidates can download application form and prospectus from university website “http://rsvidyapeetha.ac.in”
  • Candidates can also obtain the application form by post after submitting amount of Rs. 250/- by DD in favour of The Registrar, R.S.Vidyapeetha, Tirupati payable at Tirupati
  • Candidates have to submit their filled in application form along with prospectus in person by DD of amount Rs. 200 from any Nationalised bank drawn in favour of The Registrar, R.S.Vidyapeetha, Tirupati payable at Tirupati or challan in the Andhra Bank, R.S.Vidyapeetha branch, Tirupati
  • Incomplete applications received after the due date will be rejected
  • Candidate must attend the interview with original documents and 3 sets of photocopies of documents on specified date and time.
  • If the candidate is not present physically, the candidate will lose their seat.
  • Candidate admission will be confirmed after interview and written test conducted by the university.
  • Candidates must bring the following original documents at the time of interview which are as below:-
  1. Provisional/pass certificate of the last qualifying examination for admission.
  2. Marks obtained in each examination right from Matriculation/SSC/OSLC to the last qualifying examination.
  3. Transfer certificate
  4. Study certificate

Admission Process

MA & M.Sc

Selection of the candidates to the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of interview conducted by the university.


Reservation

Reseravtion of seats in the university is as per the exsisting norms of UGC or by government of India. Seats reservation in various categories are as follows:-

  • 15% seats are reserved for the SC candidates and 7½% seats are reserved for the ST category candidates.
  • 27% sets are reserved for the OBC category candidates.
  • 3% seats are reserved for the person with disability and few seats are also reserved for the children of the employees of the Vidyapeetha


Notes

Scholarship

  • 25 students from Prak-Sastri, 5 from each Sastra at Sastri level and 10 from each Sastra at Acharya level will be awarded Scholarship as per rules
  • Candidate will get scholarship on the basis of their percentage of marks in the last qualifying examination.
  • Scholarship will be given only for 10 months in a year.

Hostel

  • University provide 4 hostels for men candidates and separate 3 hostels for research candidates
  • University also provides separate hostel for women candidate.
