K L University, officially the Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, is a deemed university located in the Vaddeswaram Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, India. K L University consists of 11 academic departments and six schools, with emphasis on scientific and technological research. The institution is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, and is certified by ISO 9001 - 2000. It has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council with an A grade.

The University offers various undergraduate programmes under KLU College of Engineering, Science and Humanities, College of Creative Arts and Media, College of Commerce and College of Law. The programmes offered include B.Tech. Programme, B.Sc. (Visual Communication), Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), BCA (Cloud Technology and Information Security), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), BA, BBA, B.Com. (Honours), Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) and BBA LLB Programmes.

The University invites applications for admission to the undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2016-17. The admission to the B.Tech. Programme is through the KLUEEE (KLU Engineering Entrance Exam) 2018, B.Arch. Programme through NATA 2018 and the BBA LLB Programme through CLAT or LAWCET 2018. The admission for the other programmes is through a Written Test and Interview conducted by the University.

Eligibility

BE/B.Tech

The University offers the B.Tech. Programme in the following disciplines:

  • Bio- Technology
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Science and Engineering

  • Electronics and Computer Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Petroleum Engineering

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised Board with 60% marks and above in aggregate and 60% and above in Group subjects.

If you had Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as your main subjects at 10+2 level, you are eligible for all B.Tech programmes including Bio-Technology.

If you had Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) as your main subjects at 10+2 level, you are eligible for B.Tech (Bio Technology) only.

BFA , BHM & BCA

Eligibility Criteria:

For B.Sc. (VC), BHM, BCA, BFA and BA courses: You should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised Board with 50% marks and above in aggregate.

Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] & Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

For BBA and B.Com. (Hons.): You should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination, from a recognised Board with 50% marks and above in aggregate.

B.Arch. Programme:-

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination, from a recognised Board with 60% marks and above in aggregate.

BBA-LLB Programme

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination, from a recognised Board with 50% marks and above in aggregate.


How To Apply

BBA/BBM , BHM & B.Com

For all courses:

You should apply through two modes:

  • online on the website
  • by obtaining in person

If applying online, you should click on the “Click here to Apply Online” tab. This will open a separate window.

You should fill the Application Form with the required personal and educational details.

Application Fee: You should pay the application fee of Rs. 1000 online through Credit Card, Debit Card or Net banking, if applying online. Otherwise, you can pay by cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of KL University payable at Vijayawada on any scheduled bank.

You should then print your application form if applied online.

You must send the duly signed Application Form through Registered post or Speed post along with photo copies of all certificates (two sets) to the following address:

B.Arch. Programme:-

For NATA:

You should register on the NATA website with a valid email ID. Appointments for the exam are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. You should register well in advance to get your preferred test date.

You should then fill the form with the required personal and educational details.

Application Fee: You should pay the Application fee of Rs. 1250 either through credit card / debit card / net banking or you can generate the challan for depositing the payment through cash in any of the branches of the ICICI Bank all over India.

You shall be required to pay additional charges as “processing charges” for the following:- 

  • Domestic Credit Card:- 1.25% of the NATA Fee plus service tax as applicable
  • Domestic Debit Card:- 0.75% of the NATA Fees plus service tax as applicable
  • Domestic Multiple Bank Net Banking Payment Gateway:- Rs.15 per transaction
  • Collection through PAN India ICICI Branches in cash (through challan) :- Rs.30 per transaction

You should select your preferred test centre from the given list.

You must then submit the Application online only. Your registration is now complete.

For admission to KL University:

You should apply through two modes:

BBA-LLB Programme:-

For Registration to CLAT

Step 1: You should register yourself on the CLAT official website.

Step 2: You must then fill your personal, academics and other details as mentioned in the form.

Step 3: You are required to upload your recent passport size photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms) and signature of JPG format within 100kb of size.

Step 4: CLAT Application fees Applicants are required to make the payment of application form fees of Rs. 4000 for General Category and Rs. 3500 for Reserved Category online through Debit/ Credit Card.

Step 5: You should then finally “Submit” your Application Form online only. This completes your registration process.

For Registration to LAWCET:-

You should download the Application Form from the website.

You should fill the Application Form with the required details.

You should also select your choice of centres from the given 12 centres.

Application Fee: You should Rs. 450 as Registration fee by opting any of the following modes of payments: Andhra Bank / State Bank of India Challan, Debit / Credit Card / or Net Banking.

After filling the online Application form with the required details, you should verify all the details carefully and press Submit button.

Your filled in Application Form will be generated that contains Application number along with filled details.

You should then take print out of the confirmation page for future use. 

For admission to KL University:

You should apply through two modes:

Admission Process

BE/B.Tech

You will be selected on the basis of KLUEEE 2018 (KL University Engineering Entrance Examination).

KLUEEE

The paper will have a total of 160 questions with a maximum of 160 marks. It will consist of questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The Physics and Chemistry section will be compulsory, whereas Mathematics and Biology will optional and you have to attempt only one of these sections. Each right answer will fetch 1 mark while there will be no negative marking. Physics and Chemistry will have 40 questions each and Mathematics and Biology will have 80 questions each.

The syllabus is given on the website and is based on the 10+2 level of examination. A model test paper is also available on the website.

However, if you have qualified JEE-Main / JEE-Advanced or any State Level Engineering Entrance Exams across India including EAMCET or Merit in Sports/Cultural Activities, you will be selected on the basis of that.

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Media and Visual Communication) , Bachelor of Hotel Management [BHM] & Bachelor of Computer Applications [B.C.A.]

For B.Sc. (VC), BHM, BCA, BFA and BA courses: You should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised Board with 50% marks and above in aggregate.

 

BBA/BBM & B.Com

For BBA and B.Com. (Hons.): You should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination, from a recognised Board with 50% marks and above in aggregate.

B.Arch. Programme

Eligibility Criteria:

You should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination, from a recognised Board with 60% marks and above in aggregate.

Reservation

The reservation criteria will be as per the norms prescribed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
