Netaji Subhas Open University is a public university which was established in 1997. It is an open university imparting distance education in eastern India. University is affiliated with UGC and DEC.

The Universityoffers offers post graduate (UG) programmes in various disciplines:

Candidates can get direct admission to the above mentioned all the PG courses. Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned PG courses by submitting the fee of amount Rs. 480/- which includes (100/- for Registration, 100/- for identity cum Registration Card, 130/- as Annual Development fee and 150/- for prospectus).

Eligibility

Master of Arts [MA] (Bengali)

  • Candidate must be graduate under (10+2+3) pattern from this university or any other recognized university
  • Candidate must have obtained at least 300 marks in Bengali and passed successfully from this university or any other recognized university
  • Marks relaxation for reserved category candidates will be given as per the rules of Government of West Bengal

Master of Arts [MA] (English)

  • Candidate must be graduate under (10+2+3) pattern from this university or any other recognized university
  • Candidate must have obtained at least 300 marks in English and passed successfully from this university or any other recognized university
  • Marks relaxation for reserved category candidates will be given as per the rules of Government of West Bengal

Master of Arts [MA] (History)

  • Candidate must be graduate under (10+2+3) pattern from this university or any other recognized university

  • Candidate must be preferably honours graduate under (10+2+3) pattern in mathematics from this university or any other recognized university.
  • Candidate must be considered other graduate under (10+2+3) pattern if they have studied at least 300 marks in mathematics at under graduate level from this university or any other recognized university with at least 55% marks in mathematics.

  • Candidate must possess degree in Bachelor of Library and Information Science from this university or any other recognized university or must be other graduate under (10+2+3) pattern with at least 300 marks of study in Library Science/ Library and Information Science/ Information Science.
  • Marks relaxation for reserved category candidates will be given as per the rules of Government of West Bengal.

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib.I.Sc]

  • Candidate must be graduate under (10+2+3) pattern in honours subject with honours graduate with at least 45% of marks from this university or any other recognized university.
  • Candidate must pass graduate under (10+2+3) pattern having 3 subjects with at least 50% marks from this university or any other recognized university.
  • Marks relaxation for reserved category candidates will be given as per the rules of Government of West Bengal


How To Apply

MA , M.Com & M.Sc

  • Candidates can obtain the online application form from the university website “bdp.wbnsouadmissions.com”.
  • Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned UG courses by submitting the fee of amount Rs. 480/- which includes (100/- for Registration, 100/- for Identity cum Registration Card, 130/- as Annual Development fee and 150/- for prospectus).
  • Candidates must have to pay the fee by visiting any branch of Allahabad Bank using the pre-printed challan collected at the time of on-line submission and stamped by the co-ordinator on verification.
  • Candidates are also advised to carry photocopy of his/her computer generated admission form signed and stamped by the person attending him/her in the Study Centre.
  • Candidates are advised to submit the online application form with all the necessary documents, photographs and university copy of the challan obtained from the bank to the Study Centre.
