Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned research courses by submitting completed applications along with the registration fee amount of Rs. 1200/- and admission fee amount of Rs. 1000/-Within the stipulated time.

Eligibility:

  • Candidate must possess master’s degree in Arts, Commerce, Law, Science, Engineering, Technology, pharmacy or any other discipline from this university or any other recognized university.
  • Candidates who possess M.Phil degree are also eligible to apply for the programme
  • Candidates who have been awarded research fellowship by DBT / DST / CSIR / UGC or any other Government recognized funding agency are also eligible to apply
  • Foreign candidates are required to produce clearance from the Government of India and / or other appropriate authorities before applying for admission


How To Apply

M.Phil/Ph.D in Law & M.Phil/Ph.D in Science

  • Candidates can download the application form available at the university website  accompanied by the crossed bank draft of Rs. 200/- and Rs. 100 (for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates) drawn in favour of "University of North Bengal" and payable at State Bank of India, NBU Campus Branch, Siliguri
  • Candidates can also obtain the application form from the office of the undersigned upon payment of Rs.100/- and Rs. 25/- (for SC/ ST/ BC/ PH candidates) at the university cash counter
  • Candidates should register themselves to the Ph.D programme by submitting the registration fee amount of Rs. 1200/- and admission fee of amount Rs. 1000/- through online payment modes such as net banking, credit card and ATM cum debit card.
  • Candidate must send the filled-in application form along with two copies of the recent passport size photograph and other documents at the following address:
