Updated On: JUN 13TH, 2017

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) was established in 1989 by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, to mark the birth centenary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. It is a "Deemed University", granting Master's and Ph.D. degrees. In the last few years, the Centre's faculty members have published their research in some of the most prestigious scientific journals, including Nature, Nature Medicine, etc. All students who are admitted to the Centre’s programmes receive stipends that are more than adequate to cover their tuition and living expenses, including hostel fees, etc.

The Centre invites applications for admission to the various research programmes for the academic year 2016-17. The programmes offered are Master of Science (MS) programme in both Engineering and Research. It also offers Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. programmes. The admission for MS and Ph.D. programmes is based on academic performance and an Interview. The admission for the Integrated Ph.D. programmes is through the JAM and/or JNCASR’s written test, followed by an Interview.
