Gondwana University M.Phil,Ph.D Admissions 2017

Established in 2011, Gondwana University is a government University which is located in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The university has currently over 200 affiliated colleges which offer various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in different streams such as arts, science, law, engineering, management and pharmacy.

In addition to UG and PG courses, the university also offers research programmes viz. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in the multiple disciplines. Candidates with the relevant qualifying degree can get admission to the research courses on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination, conducted by the university.

Candidates can register themselves to the M.Phil. course by submitting concerned application forms along with the fee amount of INR 1000 (INR 700 for candidates belonging to SC/ST category). In case of Ph.D., students must deposit the examination fee amount of Rs. 800/- (Rs. 600/- for reserved category candidates) along with completed applications within the stipulated time.

Eligibility

M.Phil. (English)

Candidates should possess master’s degree in English with second division from this university or any other university recognized by Gondwana University.

Candidate should have scored minimum 55% of marks at postgraduate level. For SC/ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% is provided in minimum required aggregate.

M.Phil. (Commerce)

Candidates possess master’s degree in Commerce with second division from this university or any other university recognized by Gondwana University.

M.Phil. (Sociology)

Candidates possess post graduate degree from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 48% aggregate of marks in their respective subjects.

M.Phil. (Social Work)

Candidate should possess masters degree in social work with at least second division from this university or any other university recognized by Gondwana University.


How To Apply

M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts & M.Phil/Ph.D in Commerce

  • Candidates can register themselves for admission to M.Phil/Ph.D programme through the online application process available at the official university website.
  • Upon filling up the basic registration information, candidate will receive username and password on his/her mobile number or email ID
  • Once the candidate verifies registration, he/she can start filling-in the online application form. Candidate will also be required to upload his/her photograph and signature to the university website.
  • Along with completed applications for Ph.D programme, candidates must submit the examination fee amount of Rs. 800/- (Rs. 600/- for reserved category candidates) through demand draft (DD), DD should be drawn in favour of “Finance & Account Officer, Gondwana University, Gadchiroli” and payable at Bank of India, Gondwana University Branch, Gadchiroli Code No. 9648
  • For Ph.D programme, candidates should submit duly filled-in application form along with the certificates and prescribed fees of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 700/- in case of SC/ST candidates) through DD
  • Incomplete application form will be rejected without any prior intimation. Candidates should take the printout of the filled-in application form and send it to the university along with the necessary enclosures and DD to complete the registration process

Enclosures:

  1. Caste certificate (if applicable)
  2. Marks sheets of UG and PG degree.
  3. Original eligibility certificates for candidates who has passed qualifying examination other than Gondwana University.
  4. Certificate of college last attended.


Admission Process

M.Phil/Ph.D in Arts & M.Phil/Ph.D in Commerce

  • Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to M.Phil course on the basis of merit in the entrance examination, conducted by the university.
  • Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the PET (Ph.D. Entrance Test), conducted by the university.
