Kakatiya University LL.B. and LL.M. Admissions 2018

Kakatiya University was founded in 1976 in Warangal, Telangana to fulfil the aspirations of the Telangana people for higher education. The University was initially accredited with B+ grade by the NAAC in 2002 and reaccredited with A grade in 2008. Situated in a sprawling area of about 650 acres, the university currently offers programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Computer Science, Business Management, Education, Science, Arts, Commerce, Oriental courses in the University, constituent and affiliated colleges.

With 24 departments in four colleges on the campus in addition to 11 constituent colleges and 471 affiliated colleges, the university offers the following law programmes through Telangana State Law Test, conducted by the university on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

  • Bachelor of Law (LL.B)
  • Master of Law (LL.M)

Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to the 3 year/ 5 year LL.B programme on the basis of their performance in the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test-2016 (TSLAWCET-2016). For admission to LL.M course, candidates will be selected through Telangana State PG Law Common Entrance Test - 2016 (TSPGLCET-2016).

Candidates can register themselves to the LL.B. course by submitting applications through online mode along with the registration fee amount of Rs. 350/- and Rs. 250/- (candidates belong to SC/ST category). For admission to LL.M course, registration fee of Rs. 600/- and Rs. 500/- (for candidates belong to SC/ST category) should be paid at Online Centres or through payment gateway (Credit card/Debit card).

Eligibility

LLB

LL.B (3 years):

  • Candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non- local requirements along with the rules of the Universities concerned
  • Candidates have passed degree examination of minimum three year duration (10+2+3 pattern) from this university or any other recognized university with 45% aggregate of marks (40% marks for candidates belong to SC/ST category)
  • If the candidate has secured less than 45% of marks in graduation, then he/she should have passed any additional graduation or post graduation with 45% marks.

LL.B (5 years)

  • Candidates should have passed two years intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for candidates belong to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination or any other examination recognised as equivalent to Intermediate by the University, Board of Intermediate T.S and Bar Council of India
  • There is no age restriction for admission into LLB 3 year/5 Years and LL.M courses

LLM

  • Candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non- local requirements along with the rules of the Universities concerned
  • Candidates who possess 3/5 years LL.B./B.L. degree or are due to appear for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible. However he should pass at the time of counselling
  • Candidates must secure 25% qualifying marks in TSPGLCET – 2016.


How To Apply

LLB & LLM

  • For admission to LL.B/LL.M programme, candidates can submit the application forms though online mode only from the official TSLAWCET & TSPGLCET website.
  • Upon logging on to the website, candidate should click on the “Apply Online” button and select the appropriate Registration Fee payment mode (TS Online / AP Online or Debit / Credit card)

In case of payment through TS / AP Online, keep all the mandatory details ready required for filling in the Online Application form along with the Transaction Id. and click on the encircled “Click here if paid through TS/ AP Online” button

  • Upon clicking the button, “Payment Verification” web page will appear.
  • Fill in all the details in the respective fields and Click on the encircled button “Proceed to Online Application form filling”
  • After clicking the above button, it will proceed to next step where the Online Application Form will be displayed on the screen

In case of payment through Debit card/ Credit card, the control will be navigated to the PAYMENT GATEWAY, for payment purpose.Once the payment is completed, the candidate will be automatically redirected to the “www.tslawcet.org” page to complete the Online Application Form with the required details.

Once the payment is successfully completed through Credit card/ Debit card, candidate shall proceed to the Online Application Form filling page and complete the registration process.

  • Candidates can register themselves to the LL.B courses by submitting the registration fee of amount Rs. 350/- and Rs. 250/- (for candidates belong to SC/ST category).
  • Candidates can register themselves to the LL.M course by submitting the registration fee of amount Rs. 600/- and Rs. 500/- (for candidates belong to SC/ST category).
  • Candidates can pay the fees at TS/AP Online Centers/ Citizen Service Centers, e – Seva Centres in T.S. & A.P. and also through payment gateway (Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking).

 Other Information required for filling Online Application:

  1. Recent passport size digital color photograph (size < 30 KB) for uploading.
  2. Digital Signature of the candidate (size15 KB) of candidate for uploading.
  3. Examination Center to which candidate wishes to appear
  4. TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2016 exam.
  5. Gender (Male / Female.)
  6. Community (Non-Minority / Minority).
  7. Mobile Number of the candidate.
  8. Mobile Number of the candidate.
  9. E- Mail ID of the candidate.
  10. Place of study of Graduation - URBAN or RURAL area.


Admission Process

LLB

  • Selection of the candidates to the LL.B course is done on the basis of TSLAWCET i.e. “Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test”, conducted by the university.
  • Minimum qualifying marks for general candidates in TSLAWCET-2016 is 35% (i.e., 42 marks out of total 120 marks) and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates

LLM

  • Selection of the candidates to the LL.M course is done on the basis of TSPGLCET i.e.” Telangana State PG Law Common Entrance Test”, conducted by the university
  • Minimum qualifying marks in TSPGLCET-2016 is 25% (i.e., 30 marks out of total 120 marks) and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates.
