Kakatiya University UG Admissions 2018

Kakatiya University was founded in 1976 in Warangal, Telangana to fulfil the aspirations of the Telangana people for higher education. The University was initially accredited with B+ grade by the NAAC in 2002 and reaccredited with A grade in 2008. Situated in a sprawling area of about 650 acres, the university currently offers programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Computer Science, Business Management, Education, Science, Arts, Commerce, Oriental courses in the University, constituent and affiliated colleges

With 24 departments in four colleges on the campus in addition to a network of 11 constituent colleges and 471 affiliated colleges, the university offers the following undergraduate programmes in multiple disciplines:

  • B.Sc.
  • B.Lib.Sc

Students who have passed 10+2 (HSC) Examination from a recognized board of education are eligible to apply for admission to the UG courses. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to the PG courses on the basis of their qualifying examination merit.

Candidates can register themselves to the UG courses through online mode from the official Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) website. Along with completed applications, students must submit the registration fee of Rs. 100/- through online payment gateway.

Eligibility

BA , B.Com & B.Ed

  • Candidates must have passed Two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State OR an Examination of any other University/ Board recognized as equivalent thereto (other than Pre-Degree course in Oriental Languages of OU.
  • Candidates, who have passed Intermediate(Vocational) courses from Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State and +2 examination conducted by Boards other than Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana State ICSE and CBSE, shall submit Eligibility Certificate issued by Board of Intermediate, Telangana State
  • Candidates who have passed Intermediate (Vocational) Medical Lab Technology Course from Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State/or from any other state equivalent to it are eligible for admission into B.A. /B.Com courses only. However, those who are holding ‘Bridge course’ along with Intermediate (Vocational) Medical Lab Technology are eligible for B.Sc. courses.
  • Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. I year course should have passed and secured an aggregate of 40% marks (a Pass Percentage in case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes) in the concerned Science Subjects (i.e. Physical Sciences and Mathematics OR Physical Sciences, and Biological Sciences as the case may be) at the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates who have passed qualifying examination with Science /Arts / Commerce subjects are eligible for admission to B.A./B.Com.(Gen / Computers/ Comp. Appln.) / BSW / BBA / BBM/BCA courses
  • Candidates seeking admission to BSW course should have secured not less than 40% marks in aggregate at the qualifying examination

Bachelor of Library and Information Science [B.Lib.I.Sc]

  • Candidates must have passed Two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State OR an Examination of any other University/ Board recognized as equivalent thereto (other than Pre-Degree course in Oriental Languages of OU.
  • Candidates, who have passed Intermediate(Vocational) courses from Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State and +2 examination conducted by Boards other than Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana State ICSE and CBSE, shall submit Eligibility Certificate issued by Board of Intermediate, Telangana State

How To Apply

BA , B.Com & B.Ed

  • Candidates must fill the "Student Details Form" and pay Rs.100/- as application fee to register for admission in Kakatiya University. Those seeking admission may apply for unlimited number of colleges within a university and for more than one combination within the permitted undergraduate programme.
  • All the students, who applied under special category ie., NCC, NSS, Sports, CAP should get their certificates verified at helpline centres of the respective Universities.


Admission Process

BA , B.Com & B.Ed

Admissions to Ist year of the 3-year Degree courses will be made on the basis of merit as per the aggregate marks secured by the candidates at the qualifying examination in one attempt .


Reservation

  • 85% of the total available seats are reserved in favour of  the Local Candidates in relation to the Local area.
  • Remaining 15% seats will be filled by local and non-local candidates.
