University of Mysore Distance Education Admissions 2018

University of Mysore  was established on 26 July, 1916. It promotes teaching and research in conventional and traditional domains of Arts, Humanities, Pure and Applied Sciences and professional disciplines. It is approved by UGC Act and accredited by NAAC.

There are 122 colleges affiliated to it and 5 constituent colleges (forming an aggregate of 53,000 students). In addition, the university has 37 postgraduate departments, 8 specialized research and training centres, and 2 postgraduate centres.

UOM offers admission to the following UG and PG programs in distance education mode in which candidates with the relevant qualifying degree (pass in 10+2 for UG programs and graduation degree for PG programs) can register. Seats are reserved for people belonging to different categories such as SC/ST/BC etc.

How To Apply

BBA/BBM , B.Com & BCA

Applications for University of Mysore Distance Programs are accepted throughout the year on a rolling admission basis, although there may be application deadlines fixed for each batch individually.
Candidates must apply for admission through online registration process and submit completed application. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information.

Candidate can log on to the university website http://www.uni-mysore.ac.in/ and follow the given steps:

  1. In the “Admissions” section, click on “Online Application” Link
  2. Click on “Apply Now” button and fill in the application form
  3. Click on “Save” button if you need to make any changes or click on “Submit” button if all the particulars are correct
  4. Upon clicking “Submit” button, pay the application fee of Rs.200/-& registration fee of Rs.300 through the available online payment modes via credit / debit cards or net banking. Candidates may also make the said payment via DD in favour of the University as per details provided.
  5. Once the entire application form is complete with required fee, the candidate may submit it electronically for inspection to the Admissions Department. Applications are usually inspected within 5-7 working days of submission.
  6. Once the application is accepted, the candidate is granted admission immediately, and details regarding the course access emailed to her / him.

The candidate must attach the scanned copies of her/his academic details as well as work experience documents (where required), Community Certificate (For OC candidates community certificate not required), Certificates for Special categories, if required.

N0TE: Application fees and Registration fees for Indian overseas Nationals is $15 & $35 respectively.

Application fees and Registration fees for SAARC Nationals is INR 300/- & INR 600/- respectively.

Admissions to all the UG ,PG distance program is directly on the basis of qualifying degree examination.


Notes

Scholarships: The UOM has its own special SC/ST cell for the welfare and scholarship schemes for former community candidates.
