SNDT Women’s University Distance Education Programme Admissions 2018

Smt. Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University(SNDTU) is in race of imparting quality education to the women from February 3, 2010.The University imparts professional and non-professional education, research and training in various faculties. The university offers admission to the following UG and PG and PG Diploma Distance learning programmes

  • Faculty of Arts
  • Faculty of Fine Arts
  • Faculty of Education
  • Faculty of Social Science
  • Faculty of Commerce
  • PG Diploma in HRM
  • PG Diploma in Early Childhood Care Education
  • PG Diploma in School Counselling

Only the women candidates’relevant qualifying degree or women candidates who have passed UET can register for the above mentioned programmes. Special relaxation in the eligibility criteria for the reserved criteria candidates.

Candidates can register for admission by filling-in the online/Offline  application form for entrance examination and submitting the required processing requisites, on or before due date. Admission to the above programmes is done directly on the basis of qualifying Entrance Test (UET) conducted by the Centre for Distance Education/qualifying degree.

Eligibility

BA

  • Candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with English Paper of 100 marks and any one of the Modern Indian Languages /Modern Foreign Languages/ any classical Language / Information Technology/ Any four subjects carrying 100 marks each.
  • Candidate should have passed 10+2 Examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with English Paper, Any one vocational subject carrying 200 marks and any three subjects carrying 100 marks each.
  • Candidate must have passed three year diploma recognized by the government of India.
  • Candidate who has passed any examination which is considered as equivalent to above by the university or any other recognized body.

Master of Arts [MA] (Music)

  • Candidate should be a Graduate in Music from this university / any other recognised University
  • Candidate should be Graduate in any subject other than music- from this university or any other recognized University must have passed Sangeet Visharad /equivalent degree in Music / should have excellent ability of pursuing music/ received extensive training in classical Music at least for five years

MA

  • Candidate should have hold of a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university
  • Candidate should have passed any examination which is considered as equivalent to above by the university or any other recognized body.

B.Com

M.Com

Candidate should have hold of B.Com. / B.M.S. / B.B.A. degrees of this university or other recognized university.

Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management [PGDHRM]

  • Candidate should be a graduate in any discipline with  minimum 50% of marks for open category and 45% for reserved category from an Indian University recognized by AIU 
  • Cracking  the Interview conducted by JDBIMS.

Post Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood- Education and Development

Candidate must have hold of B.Sc. Home Science Graduate with 45% passing marks /BA with Child Care Graduate with 45% passing marks /Graduate from other discipline with 50% passing marks.

Post Graduate Diploma in School Counselling

Candidate should be Graduate in Psychology from a recognised university (minimum 50%). /with B.Ed. (with two years of work experience) /M.Ed. Degree. (Minimum 50%)


How To Apply

BA , MA & M.Com

Candidates must apply for admission through online/offline registration process and submit completed application before due date. All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled-in with the relevant information.

  1. Candidate can download the application form the university website and submit the duly filled downloaded form along with the necessary documents and a demand draft of tuition fee in favour of “Registrar, S.N.D.T. Women’s University,” payable at Mumbai. 
  2. Candidate can obtain the application form at the Accounts Section of SNDT Women’s University.
  3. The completed application form along with the necessary and relevant documents  should be submitted to the office of the Director, Board of College and University Development (BCUD)

Enclosures:

Two Attested copies of the following documents should be submitted with the application form.

  1. The Mark sheet of the highest qualification acquired.
  2. Passing Certificate / Degree Certificate of Graduate examination
  3. Marriage Certificate (in case of name change).
  4. Caste Certificate (except for Open Category).
  5. Medical Certificate given by a Competent Authority in case of blind/visually or physically challenged candidates.
  6. Test score sheet
  7. HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet   
  8. Demand draft of tuition fee in favour of “Registrar, S.N.D.T. Women’s University,” payable at Mumbai.  


Admission Process

BA , B.Com & MA

Candidates will be selected according to the norms of the Distance Education Council (DEC) which includes qualifying degree and UET.


Notes

  • Candidates who wish to get admission in Arts and Commerce degree programmes, but do not have 10+2(H.S.C) level certificates can apply for the same via UET.
  • Candidates can apply for the second and third year of the Bachelor’s degree program only if they have passed the previous respective years from the same university/any other recognized university with or without admissible ATKT.  
  • Candidates can apply for the second year of the Master’s degree program only if they have passed the previous year from this university with admissible ATKT.
