Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU)provides higher education with the focus on professional education. It is a public and professional university located in Delhi, India. University has been graded ‘A’ by NAAC.

University has 110 affiliated institutes which affiliate 84 colleges in Delhi-NCR and has 15 schools and centres. Candidates can easily download the admission brochure for academic session 2017-2018.

Interested candidates can get admission to the Under Graduate and integrated courses are primarily through Common Entrance Test and for admission in the B.Arch. course candidates should clear NATA 2016test.

Eligibility

Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch.]

  • Students looking for admission must have studied 10+2 with Mathematics and English as the compulsory subject from recognised board.
  • Candidates must have done 3 years Diploma in any stream after 10 years of schooling recognised by central Government with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates who are waiting for the results can also apply for B.Arch. course.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] + Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Chemical Engineering) , Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] + Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Computer Science & Engineering) & Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] + M.Tech. (Information Technology)

  • Candidates must have passed 12th class or equivalent from recognised board with minimum aggregate 55% marks.
  • Students must have passed Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics individually are also eligible to apply.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] + Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Biotechnology)

  • Candidates should have passed the 12th class examination or any other equivalent examination from the recognised board with minimum aggregate 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and any one of Biology or Biotechnology.
  • Those students can also apply who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics individually.
  • Candidate must also pass mandatory English language subject.

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] {Hons}

  • Candidates must have passed the higher secondary examination conducted by the state board of secondary education or its equivalent examination with minimum 70% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates who belong to SC/ST category must have scored 60% marks in HSC examination.

Note

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Candidate’s age should be 21 years at the time of admission.

Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Automobiles) , Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Construction) & Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Software Development)

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 CBSE pattern with English as a subject in the qualifying examination.
  • Students who have passed 10+2 year of ITI or three-year diploma in any discipline are also eligible to apply.

Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Interior Design) , Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Applied Arts) & Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Mobile Communications)

  • Students looking for admission must pass 12th class of 10+2 pattern or CBSE or equivalent board with Physics and Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects.Or
  • Candidate should have passed 10+2 year ITI in relevant discipline from recognised university.Or
  • Candidates must have done three years diploma in any discipline from reputed university.


How To Apply

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] {Hons} , Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch.] & Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Automobiles)

Students can obtain the application form and brochure from the university website www.ipu.ac.in and eligible students are advised to submit the application form along with CET fees of INR 1000/- excluding processing charges and taxes.

  • Separate application forms should be submitted for each programme.
  • Admit cards will be available through the online mode only.
  • Application must be submitted within 5 working days of the last date of form submission along with the applicable fees.
  • Fees should be paid online through Net Banking /Credit Card and Debit Card or by cash payment in any branch of Indian Bank.
  • If documents found to be forged at the time of admission then university have rights to cancel the seat of the candidate.
  • There will be no rounding-off for the percentage of marks of qualifying examination.
  • Incomplete application form will be rejected and no requests will be not entertained afterwards.
  • Candidates should upload the filled in application forms and enclosures given below through online mode only.
  • Candidates need to fill their personal details along with entrance examination marks and aggregate marks obtained in each subject while applying online.
  • If the candidate submitted his/her details, they cannot edit the same and should re-register in case they need to change the personal information.
  • Candidates are advised to take the printout of CET application form as proof of application.

Admission Process

Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch.] , Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Automobiles) & Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Construction)

Admission in B.Voc. and Integrated courses is primarily based on the IPU-CET 2016.

  • Only CET qualified candidates will be eligible for admission after attending the university counselling.
  • Candidate’s selection for B.Arch. course is based on NATA. NATA test is conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture which is the part of Council of Architecture.
  • Selected candidates will go through the counselling process which is as following:

Counselling process

University offers offline counselling which is further divided into two categories i.e. first and second counselling. Counselling procedures are discussed as below:

Offline First Counselling

  • First counselling indicates the selected number of candidates who will be called for counselling and is displayed on the university website “www.ipu.ac.in”.
  • Candidates should reach the venue on the scheduled date and time along with the documents for verification.
  • Eligible candidates should submit the counselling processing fees of amount Rs. 1000/- which is non-refundable.
  • Firstly, candidates will be called according to the rank secured by them in the merit list. Depending on merit and eligibility seats will be given to candidates.
  • After submission of complete fees, Admission Officer will give a duly signed Admission Slip to the candidates.
  • Candidate’s seat will be cancelled who fails to appear on the notified venue, date and time.
  • Candidates must pay the fees immediately on the spot at the time of admission.
  • Students didn’t allow to change the programme during first counselling but they can change the programme during second counselling by depositing the additional amount of Rs. 5000/- in the form of DD in favour of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University payable at Delhi
  • University stops admission or counselling once if the seats get filled up.
  • If candidates request for withdrawal of admission it shall not be entertained through post/ email/ fax.

Offline Second Counselling

  • If candidates pay the second counselling processing fees if they already paid the first counselling fees and vice versa.
  • If students were absent in the first counselling then they will be allowed to attend the second counselling.
  • Open house counselling will be condcuted only if the seats remain vacant.
  • Only CET qualified candidates will be admitted for admission through management quota by producing original admit card for admission.
  • All candidates who have taken admission through open house counselling shall not be eligible for admission in management quota.
  • Rest of the counselling procedure remains same as of the first counselling.


Reservation

  • 10% of total seats will be allocated to the candidates belong to management quota.
  • 27% seats are reserved for the Delhi OBC category candidates. Only if the students will submit the category certificate from the Competent Authority of the Delhi Government.
  • 85% seats are reserved for the Delhi region candidates and 15% seats are reserved for the candidates belong to outside Delhi region.
  • 15% seats will be reserved for the Foreign Nationals or Persons of Indian Origin or Foreign students
  • One seat will always be reserved for the Kashmiri migrants in each programme.
  • Conversion of reserved seats SC, ST, DEF, PWD, Minority, etc. to General Category will only be done after the last counselling.
  • In the case of married women applying for the course, they need to produce the caste certificate in name of her.
  • If there will be any change in the reservation policy then it should be taken by the government of NCT Delhi.
  • If candidates belong to outside Delhi for SC/ST category they need to submit the reservation certificate.


Notes

  • University will only display the ranks of those candidates who are qualified entrance test CET.
  • Reserved seats for the outside Delhi category will be converted to Delhi category and vice versa for the programmes for which offline counselling will be done.
  • University has the rights to add or remove any programme from the list of the programmes grouped together for the Purpose of admission.
