Christ University is a UGC recognised deemed Private university in Bangalore. With over 16,000 students and more than 1000 faculty members, it is one of the top ranked university in the country. In 2014 India Today-Nielsen survey, Christ University was ranked in the top 10 in Science, Arts, Commerce and Law. The university offers nationally and internationally recognised undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in academic disciplines including Law, Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Humanities, Sciences, and Social Science

The BA LLB (Bachelor of Law) and BBA LLB (Bachelor of Law) Programmes are 5 year integrated law programmes. The course is oriented towards the industry and is aided by an advisory board which comprises of some of the leading lights in the legal fraternity. The LLM (Master of Law) programme is offered in 3 fields which is a one year course.

School of Law, Christ University invites applications for admission to the BA LLB, BBA LLB and LLM courses for the academic year 2018-19. The admission to the programmes takes places through different Entrance Tests followed by further tests and interview as per the programme. The application must be sent before the last date of submission.

Eligibility Criteria

The following section contains information regarding eligibility criteria for different courses offered by Christ University.

Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] {Hons.}

  • Candidate should have passed the 10+2 level examination with a minimum of 45% marks in any stream (Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, Science and Management) from any recognised Board in India (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / IGCSE / IB)
  • Candidate should be below the age of 20 years as on July 1, 2017.

Note: If the candidate is writing the 10+2 examination in March-May 2017, he/she is also eligible to apply with your Class 10 and Class 11 marksheet.

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] {Hons}

LLM

Christ University offers the LLM Programme in the following disciplines:

  • LL.M Constitutional and Administrative Law
  • LL.M Corporate and Commercial Law
  • LL.M Intellectual Property and Trade Law

Eligibility

For Indian candidates:

  • You should have passed LLB (3 or 5 year course) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from recognized university.
  • If you are in final year, then also you can apply on provisional basis.

For International candidates: Either of the following,

  • You must produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination in English medium; or   
  • You must have IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or TOEFL (paper) 550


How to Apply

LLB & LLM

There are two ways to apply: Online Mode or Offline Mode.

Offline Mode:

You can obtain the Application Form after remitting the prescribed fee at Counter No. 7, Office of Admissions, Ground Floor, Central Block, Christ University Main Campus, Bengaluru.

Online Mode:

You can download the Application Form from the University website. You can then fill in and submit the Application online.

You need to register through the official link of Christ University BA BBA LLB 2018 Application by entering your E-Mail id, Mobile Number and Date of Birth.

Once the registration has been done, you need to remit an application fee of Rs. 1000 as SBI Application Processing Fee Challan from any Core Banking Branch of State Bank of India/ a valid Credit Card/ Debit Card or Net Banking facility, and then fill in the applications in online mode.

Enclosures:

  • Copy of marksheets of Class 10th, Class 11th or Class 12th (whichever is available)
  • SBI Application Processing Fee Challan for Rs. 1000 from any Core Banking Branch of State Bank of India/ a valid Credit Card/ Debit Card or Net Banking facility.
  • Transfer Certificate from last qualified institution
  • Migration certificate if you are from outside Karnataka
  • Copy of passport and visa page (if applicable)
  • Two recent passport size photographs (35mm x 45mm) and 2 stamp size photographs wearing formal dress with white background
  • The filled-in printed Application form duly signed by you and your parent/guardian.
  • Provisional Degree Certificate or Degree Certificate in case of LLM Admission

After filling in the applications and signing at the required place, you are required to send it to the below mentioned address in an A4 size envelope along with the other necessary documents.

Admission Process

The following section contains information regarding selection process for different courses offered by Christ University.

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws [B.A.L.L.B.] {Hons} & Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] + Bachelor of Laws [L.L.B.] {Hons.}

For both BA LLB Programme and BBA LLB Programme: You will be selected on the basis of Christ University Law Entrance Exam (CULEE) followed by Skill Assessment Test (SA), Micro Presentation(MP) and Personal Interview (PI).

The CULEE 2018 will be held in offline mode for a duration of2 hours. The Exam shall comprise a total of 120 questions carrying maximum marks of 120. The 120 questions of objective nature (MCQs) will be distributed in five sections – English Language, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and Data Analysis. Each correct answer shall be awarded one mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total scored marks for every wrong answer. It will be held at three cities of India – Bengaluru, Kolkata and Delhi.

Christ University declared the list of shortlisted candidates based on the Christ University Law Entrance Exam 2017 who further appear for SA, MP and PI tests before the declaration of final merit list.

LLM

You will be selected on the basis of the Christ University Entrance Test (ET) followed by a Skill Assessment (SA) test and Personal Interview (PI).

The duration of the Entrance Test will be 30 minutes. Each correct answer carries one mark and each wrong one deducts 0.25 marks.


Reservation Criteria

The reservation policy is as per the norms prescribed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
