Hyderabad University (UOH)  is a public university which was established in 1974. University is constantly ranked among top Indian universities. In 2015 university received Visitor’s award for the best central university in India.

University offers M.Tech. 7 different disciplines in which students get admission on the basis GATE scores. Along with this, the university also offers M.Sc. in 12 disciplines. Admission to M.Sc. courses is based on the marks scored in the written test conducted by the university.

The university also offers MBA and MCA courses in which candidates are selected on the basis of their score in CAT and the entrance exam conducted by the university respectively. 60 students are given admission to MCA program ever year while 80 students are admitted to MBA program.

Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting the application fee of amount INR 300/- (for general category candidates) and INR 250 (for BC candidates) and INR 150 (for SC/ST category candidates).

MathematicsCandidate must possess Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in optional subjects with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects Or Candidate must have done B.A. /B.Sc. (Hons) course in Maths / Statistics with at least 55% of marks.
Applied Mathematics

PhysicsCandidate must possess B.Sc. degree with Physics as one of the main subjects in combination with Mathematics from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate marks. Or Candidate must possess at least 55% marks in degree with minimum 60% marks in science subjects i.e. Physics, Mathematics and Electronics
ChemistryGraduation with subjects- Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics with 60% marks minimum.
BiochemistryGraduation with subjects- Chemistry and Biochemistry with 60% marks minimum.
Plant Biology and BiotechnologyGraduation with min. 60% marks any one of the following subjects- Chemistry, Botany, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology.
Molecular Biology
Animal Biotechnology
BiotechnologyBachelor’s degree in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering / Technology, 4 years B.Sc. (Physician Assistant Course) or medicine (MBBS) or BDS with at least 55% marks from this university or any other recognized university.
Ocean and Atmospheric SciencesBachelor’s degree in any branch of Science with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects at the B.Sc. level or B.Tech. in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical with minimum 55% marks.
Health Psychology60% marks at the Graduate level with Psychology as one of the subjects for 3 years from this university or any other recognized university.

Note:

The students who have studied Life Sciences or Zoology in Graduation can also apply for M.Sc. Molecular Biology and M.Sc. Animal Biotechnology.

Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Mineral Exploration)

Candidate must possess master’s degree in any branch of Science with Mathematics as one of the subjects at the B.Sc. level from this university or any other recognized university with at least 55% marks.


How To Apply

M.Sc , MCA & MBA/PGDM

  • Candidate must submit the application form online on the university website - http://www.uohyd.ac.in/ .
  • Before applying online candidate must upload the signature and his/her photograph.
  • Candidates are required to submit the application fees of amount INR 300/- (for general category candidates) and INR 250 (for BC candidates) and INR 150 (for SC/ST category candidates).
  • Candidates must pay the application fee online.
  • Candidates must upload the following enclosures along with the application form:

Enclosures

  1. Physically Challenged candidates are required to submit a certificate from a Medical Board/Civil Surgeon of a Government Hospital.
  2. SC/ST candidates belonging to the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should submit an Integrated Community Certificate issued by the Competent Revenue Authority.
  3. Candidates should submit a copy of the certificate of their caste/ tribe from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar / Mandal Revenue Officer at the time of interview, admission/counselling

  • Candidates will only be selected if he/she has successfully completed three years undergraduate degree.
  • Selection of the candidate to the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of the percentage or CGPA obtained in the qualifying examination


Reservation

  • 5% relaxation is given to candidates who belong to SC/ST categories.
  • 1 seat is reserved in each course for the candidates who belong to the Union Territories / North-Eastern States
  • 2 seats are reserved for the Supernumerary seats for Jammu & Kashmir under special scholarship scheme.
  • 15% seats are reserved in each course for the foreign candidates.
