Christ University is a deemed to de university established in Bangalore. It is also accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Apart from Main Campus, Kengeri Campus and Bannerghatta Road Campus, Christ University is also located in Pune (Lavasa Campus), Delhi (Ghaziabad Campus). There are six different faculties under which 22 Doctoral programmes, 42 Post Graduate programmes, 62 Undergraduate programmes and 16 M.Phil. Programmes successfully offered by the university.

Christ University has six faculties, viz. Faculty of Engineering, Commerce and Management, Humanities and Social Science, Institute of Management, School of Law and Sciences. Christ University offers B.Tech in 7 disciplines, M.Tech in 6 disciplines and B.Tech Lateral in 4 disciplines. Selection is done on the basis of your performance in Group Discussion (GD) and Micro Presentation (MP), Written Assessment (WA), Verbal Assessment (VA) and finally by Personal Interview (PI).

Eligibility Criteria

The following section contains information regarding eligibility criteria for different courses offered by Christ University.

BE/B.Tech

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) – Regular

Christ University offers four year B.Tech programme in the following disciplines:

  • Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Technology in in Automobile Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Programme:

You need to pass your Senior Secondary Examination (+2 Board exam) with an aggregate of 50% from any recognized Board in India (Karnataka PUC, ISC, CBSE, IGCSE, NIOS etc.) or abroad. You must have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Class XII level with 50% marks in Mathematics.

If you are writing your Class XII board examination in March-May 2016, you may apply with your class X and Class XI marks.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) – Lateral Entry:

Through B.Tech Lateral Entry Program, you are eligible to take direct admission in the Second year of your Engineering.

In Christ University, you can enrol yourself into following discipline of Engineering through Lateral Entry:

  • B.Tech Civil Engineering
  • B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
  • B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering.
  • B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering. 

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Lateral Programme:

You need to have successfully completed the 3 year diploma course in Engineering to apply for admission to lateral entry courses.

ME/M.Tech

Christ University offers four year M.Tech programme in following discipline:

  • M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
  • M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering.
  • M.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering.
  • M.Tech. in Power Systems
  • M.Tech in Communication Systems
  • M.Tech in Machine Design

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech Programme:

You need to have a B.Tech/B.E degree with 55% aggregate marks from any University in India or abroad recognised by UGC/AIU.

If you are in your final year of your B.Tech/B.E you are eligible to apply for M.Tech Course provided that you have secured 55% or above aggregate in all the semesters/Years of Undergraduate Examination conducted so far.

How to Apply

Mode of filling the admission application form:  Applications for admission to B.Tech and M.Tech courses in Christ University can be obtained exclusively from the official university website

Application form fees for B.Tech, M.Tech, and B.Tech Lateral Programme: INR 1000

For NRI/Foreign Nationals: US$ 100

Steps to fill in the Application form:

  1. Go to the official website and enter all details given on page one and then click on “Continue” button.
  2. You have to read the “Application fees Guideline” and then “Accept” the terms and condition by checking the box right beside “Accept”. Please click on “continue” icon.
  3. You will land onto “Pre-requisite check” page where you will have to fill in the details.  Choose the mode of payment which can either be SBI BANK Challan or online (CREDIT/DEBIT/NEFT/Internet Banking).
  4. Once the application fees is paid you will have to fill your personal details, educational details, work experience etc. Please fill the form carefully and then click on to the “submit” icon.
  5. An editable page will appear on screen if in case you have filed some wrong information, you can correct it and then click on “confirm Submission”.
  6. Once you have submitted your application form you will receive the application number and your date of birth with an option to print your application form.
  7. You need to print and sign the application form after filling further details on printed application form. You are advised to keep a copy of the application for your future reference and you need to produce it at the time of selection process.
  8. Please send the printed application form along with copies of other documents mentioned in “Selection Procedure for B.Tech, M.Tech, and B.Tech Lateral Programme” Section via registered post addressed to:

You are advised to visit the campus from Monday to Friday between 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM and on Saturday please visit the campus in between 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM. You must make sure that the application and supporting documents must reach the office within 7 days of submitting the application online.

Note: Do not forget to mark B.Tech, M.Tech, or B.Tech Lateral Programme (whichever programme you chose)”, on the top left hand corner of the A4 size envelope for faster processing of application form.

Admission Process

The following section contains information regarding selection process for different courses offered by Christ University.

BE/B.Tech & ME/M.Tech

Selection Procedure for B.Tech, M.Tech, and B.Tech Lateral Programme:

If you meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned above then you need to appear in Group Discussion (GD) and Micro Presentation (MP). Once you have cracked your GD/MP round you shall be called for Written Assessment (WA), Verbal Assessment (VA) and finally for Personal Interview (PI), clearing upon which you will be called for final counselling.

You need to appear for the selection process on the allotted date and time mentioned on the selection process admit card with the following documents:

  1. The Selection process admit card is mandatory.
  2. Copy of the filled-in printed application form duly signed by the parent/guardian and the candidate is mandatory.
  3. You need to carry one copy of SBI application processing fee/ Challan/online payment acknowledgement slip.
  4. Please produce a valid Photo ID whenever asked. (Driving License/Passport/Electoral ID/Aadhar Card).
  5. Two passport size (35mm x 45mm with white background-standard Indian passport format only) and two stamp size photograph. Do not forget to write your name and application number behind the photographs. You will not require to have a photocopy of your photograph.
  6. You need to have originals and one set of class 10, class 12 and degree marks card. It is mandatory.
  7. For (M.Tech Programme only), if you have completed your graduation on or before November 2015 you must carry original and one set of photocopy of Provisional degree certificates.
  8. For (M.Tech Programme only), if you have graduated on or before June 2015 it is compulsory to carry Original and one set of photocopy of degree certificates (final convocation).
  9. If available, you can carry a copy of transfer certificate from last qualified Institution.
  10. If available, please keep a copy of migration certificate if you belong to some other state other than Karnataka.
  11. If you are a foreign national, you need to have a copy of passport and VISA page.
