National Law Institute University (NLIU) is a law school and centre for research located in Bhopal, India. It was established in 1997. It is one of the first three law schools established under the national law system. University is the member of AIU.

University provide various courses under research course level which are as following:

Research courses

  • Ph.D (in 3 disciplines) – 2 years

All the 3 courses mentioned above under Ph.D programme must have the same following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidate must possess LLM degree from this university or any other recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks.


How to Apply

  • Candidates can obtain the application form from the university website “www.nliu.ac.in”
  • Candidates can obtain the application form by paying the Cost of application form is Rs.1500/-.
  • Candidates must have to pay the fees through DD drawn in favour of the Director, the National Law Institute University, payable at Bhopal
  • Candidates have to send the filled in application form through speed post only along with the enclosures at the following address:
