Gautam Buddha University (GBU) is a Research University located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a state university which was established in 2002.

The University offers PG courses in the field of Science, Arts, and Management. The university has M.Sc. in 5 disciplines, MA in 10 disciplines, and MBA in 6 disciplines. The application process for all the three course-levels is online and candidates can access the application form through University’s official website.

GBU conducts entrance test followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) for admission to MBA program. The admission to MA and M.Sc. programs is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Eligibility

Eligibility

Eligibility

Candidate must possess graduation degree with Physics or B.Sc. in Electronics as one of the subjects from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 50% marks and 45% marks (for candidates belong to SC/ST category)

Master of Arts [MA] (Applied Psychology) & Master of Science [M.Sc] (Applied Psychology)

MA/M.Sc. in Applied Psychology

Eligibility

  • Candidate must be graduate in any discipline from any recognized University in India minimum 45% marks for general candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates with a Science background will be granted M.Sc. degree.

Master in Disability Rehabilitation and Administration [MDRA]

Eligibility

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in disability rehabilitation recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India or Medical Council of India with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates
  • Candidate should have Master’s degree from a recognized university in Psychology, Social Work, Management, Social Welfare, Rehabilitation Psychology, Rehabilitation Social Work, Rehabilitation Management with minimum 50% marks for general candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.


How to Apply:

For Indian Candidates:

  • Candidates can fill the application form online on the university website
  • The application fee for general candidates is Rs. 1200/- and for SC/ST candidates is Rs. 600/-.
  • Candidates can pay application fee through credit card/ debit card/ net banking / Demand Draft.
  • Candidates are required to send duly-signed printout of the filled in application form with “Application for Post Graduate (GPT 2017)”  mentioned on the envelope to the following address:

  • Candidates can download the application form from the university website “www.gbu.ac.in”
  • International Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting the registration fee of amount $200.
  • Candidates can to pay the fees through cash mode in the branch of the nationalized bank situated in the GBU campus
  • Candidates can also pay the fees through Demand Draft issued in favour of The Chairman Admissions, Gautam Buddha University payable at Greater Noida.

Admission Procedure

The admission to majority of MA and M.Sc. courses is on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. In case of Master in Disability Rehabilitation and Administration, GBU conducts a written examination followed by Interview and Group Discussion. The written examination will have questions about Disability and Rehabilitation management, and logic and reasoning. The weightage for Interview and Group Discussion is 25% each.

For admission to MBA courses, the university conducts a written test. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of marks scored in the written test are then called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal interview (PI). The written test will have 4 sections – Reasoning and Aptitude, Mathematical Ability and Data Interpretation, English proficiency, and General Awareness. The weightage for Reasoning and Mathematical ability section is 30% each and English Proficiency and General Awareness is 20% each.

Reservation Process:

Seats will be reserved for the SC/ST/OBC category candidate is as per the Uttar Pradesh Government rules and Gautam Buddha University rules.


Eligibility for Foreign Candidates

  • Candidate must hold valid passport from their respective countries.
  • Candidate must obtain certificate of the International Students approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
  • Candidate studying in the final year or having qualified Degree are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have completed 12 years or 10+2 years of formal schooling at the school level followed by a Bachelor’s Degree.
