Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University (SOA) is a private deemed-to-be University situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The university’s primary focus is on education through research It has been accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. SOA comprises of nine degree-granting schools and colleges and has a student strength of over 10,000 in number. The university offers programs with well-designed curriculum in the fields of engineering, medicine, pharmacy, business, nursing, biotechnology, science, humanities, environment, nanotechnology, materials science, agriculture and law.
The University also has an excellent placement record with as many as 97 companies recruiting the graduates of the year 2016. Some of the prominent companies include Wipro and Infosys.
Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA offers admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) Programme in various specializations for the academic year 2017-18. The admission to B.Tech. Programme will be on the basis of JEE Main Examination, whereas for M.Tech. Programme, it will be on the basis of the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test (SAAT 2017)/GATE Score. The entire application process is online and must be completed by April 16th, 2017.

You should have passed or should be appearing in the final examinations for B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE / MCA / M.Sc. Degree in the respective discipline or equivalent, with a minimum of 50% marks in case of general category and 45% marks in case of reserved category.

You can access the Application Form online on the University website.
Step 1: You will first have to log in to the Application Form. You must fill in your Name, Date of Birth, Email id and Mobile number.
Step 2: You will receive an OTP on your mobile number after filling the above mentioned information. You must enter the OTP to proceed to the Application Form.
Step 3: You must fill in the Form with the required personal and educational details.
Step 4: You should upload the scanned copy of your photograph and signature. Your photograph should be recent colour passport size photograph
Step 5: You should then submit your Application Form by clicking on the “Final Submission” tab.
Step 6: You must download your Application Copy and take the print out of the application form for future reference. The application form will be send to your mail.
The acknowledgement for the receipt of the SAAT 2017 application will be intimated to your Email-Id and Mobile Number through SMS.
You will be selected on the basis of SAAT/JEE – Mains.

The paper will have multiple-choice type questions. The number of questions will be 60 per each hour of exam. Each question shall have four probable answers with only one is correct answer. Every correct answer shall carry four marks. There will also be negative marking where each incorrect answer will lead to deduction of one mark. Each un-answered question will carry zero mark.
Exemptions: You will be exempted from writing the SAAT Written Examination if you have qualified the GATE Examination. In this case, you will have to appear for an Interview and your final selection will be based on a valid GATE score and personal interview taken together.
