Maulana Azad Urdu University (MANUU) B.Tech and B.Ed Admission 2017

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) was established in 1998. The university have 24 departments which provide undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs. The university has established three Industrial Training Institutes and three Polytechnic Colleges in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Darbhanga.

The University offers various under graduate (UG) programmes in multiple disciplines through entrance test:

  • B.Ed
  • B.Tech

Candidates are shortlisted for admission to B.Ed and B.Tech programmes through entrance test conducted by university. Those seeking admission can register themselves by submitting completed applications along with the fee amount of Rs. 300/- through DD. Foreign national candidates can register themselves by submitting the application fee amount of $100.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Ed

Duration – 2 years

  • Candidate must pass 10+2 or equivalent from recognized board/ university and must also pass Urdu at 10th or 12th level.
  • 5 years of age relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC and 10 years for PwD candidates.
  • For SC/ST and women candidates will provide 5% relaxation in both the entrance merit and qualifying marks.
  • Eligibility requirement for Kashmiri migrants are minimum cut-off percentage is 10% to subject
  • Candidate must pass entrance test with minimum 35% marks in qualifying examination

BE/B.Tech

Duration - 4 years

  • Candidate must pass 10+2 or equivalent from recognized board/ university and must also pass Urdu at 10th or 12th level.
  • 5 years of age relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC and 10 years for PwD candidates.
  • For SC/ST and women candidates will provide 5% relaxation in both the entrance merit and qualifying marks.
  • Eligibility requirement for Kashmiri migrants are minimum cut-off percentage is 10% to subject
  • Candidate must pass entrance test with minimum 40% marks in qualifying examination


How to Apply

B.Ed & BE/B.Tech

For Indian candidates

  • Candidates can register for all programes through online application process available on the official university website
  • Candidates can register themselves by submitting the application fee amount of Rs. 300/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PwD/ Women candidates) through challan at any branch of State Bank of India
  • Incorrect/incomplete application forms or forms without Challan of requisite fee and applications received after the last date shall be rejected
  • Candidate must have to upload scanned copies of all the following documents along with the application form which are as below:

Enclosures

  1. Proof of Urdu education at 10th /12th level
  2. Photo of candidate or any one parent/guardian
  3. Receipt of Challan as applicable
  4. 10th class/equivalent marks sheet
  5. Copies of certificates/Marks sheet of qualifying examinations
  6. Proof of caste/category certificate

For foreign national candidates

  • Foreign national candidates can register themselves to the courses by submitting the application fee amount of $100
  • If foreign national candidate selected into any programme then candidates shall produce the following documents:
  1. Student's Visa
  2. Medical Certificate prescribed by Govt. of India
  3. Clearance from MEA

Candidate must have to submit the following enclosures along with the application form:

  1. All certificates and marks sheet or grade card from High School onwards with certified English translation
  2. A Letter of recommendation from the Principal/Director of the College/Centre/University, where the candidate completed the studies last. The letter must be sent in sealed envelope or by e-mail to the Head of the Department in which admission is sought.
  3. A synopsis/research proposal for those seeking admission to MPhil and PhD. programs.
  4. A proof of adequate financial support or scholarship

Candidates must have to submit the following documents at the time of admission:

  1. All Original Certificates with their transcript in English (if the certificates are in another language)
  2. Photocopy of Passport and Visa
  3. Medical fitness certificate from a recognized hospital
  4. Prescribed Fee
  5. Two sets of photocopies of all certificates
  6. Twelve passport size latest colour photographs
  7. Four self-addressed postal stamped envelopes
  8. Testimonials from two referees


Admission Process

B.Ed & BE/B.Tech

Selection of the candidate to B.Ed, B.Tech courses is done on the basis of their performance in the  entrance test conducted by university.

For foreign national candidates

Selection of the candidates to the above mentioned candidates is done on the basis of merit or entrance test and interview conducted by university.

  • 15% seats are reserved for the Foreign Nationals candidates in any program of the University.
