Christ University  located in Bengaluru, is one of the leading private universities in India, featuring among top ten in survey conducted by India Today group. The University offers postgraduate courses in multiple disciplines. At present, Christ University offers over 26 post-graduation courses apart from MBA.

The basic eligibility to apply for PG courses at Christ University is an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. The application process for PG courses begins in December and continues till April. The application process is conducted both online and offline. The admission criteria and selection process varies for the courses. The selection process is set by each of the departments separately. The selection process may involve Skill Assessment Test and Personal Interview.

The PG programs are also open to International candidates.

Eligibility:

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.

Candidates who are in the final year of their program can also apply. Such candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in all semester or annual exams conducted so far.

Master of Social Work (MSW) (Clinical and Community Practice) , Master of Social Work (MSW) (Human Resource Development and Management) & Master of Science [M.Sc] (Development Studies)

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Those in the final year of their undergraduate program can also apply subject to scoring 50% marks in all the semester or annual exams conducted so far.

Master of Commerce [M.Com]

Candidate must have completed B.Com/ BBM/ BBA with minimum 50% marks from any recognized university in India. Applicants in the final year/semester of the undergraduate program are also eligible to apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Analytical Chemistry) & Master of Science [M.Sc] (Organic Chemistry)

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in chemistry from any recognized University. Candidates in the last year of undergraduate program can also apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Computer Science)

Candidate must have completed B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or BCA degree with minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in the cognate subject from a recognized university. Candidates in their final semester/year can also apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Computer Science & Applications)

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Applications with a minimum 55% marks and a minimum of 1 year work experience in any software industry/IT/ITES.

Or

Candidate must have any degree in Science or Engineering with 55% marks from a recognized university with a minimum of 3 years work experience in software industry/IT department.

MCA

Candidate must have completed any undergraduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized university in India. Candidates who have completed their UG degree in non-science subjects must have studied Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Business Mathematics/ Electronics at degree or pre-university level.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Food Processing Technology)

Candidates with B.Sc. or B.Tech. in Food Technology/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Industrial Microbiology with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university. Candidates awaiting result are also eligible to apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics)

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in Mathematics from any recognized University. Candidates in the last year of undergraduate program can also apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Physics)

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in Physics from any recognized University. Candidates in the last year of undergraduate program can also apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Actuarial Science)

Candidate should have B.Sc. in Mathematics/ Statistics or BA in Economics or B.com. degree with minimum  60% marks from a recognized university in India. Candidates in final year or semester of the program can also apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Strategic Management)

Candidates with an undergraduate degree with minimum 50% marks and 1-2 years relevant work experience are eligible to apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Clinical Psychology)

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in Psychology from any recognized University. Candidates in the last year of undergraduate program can also apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Counselling Psychology) & Master of Science [M.Sc] (Human Resource Development Psychology)

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum 50% marks aggregate from any recognized University. Candidates in the last year of undergraduate program can also apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Zoology)

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in Zoology/ Animal Science/ Life Science from any recognized University. Candidates in the last year of undergraduate program can also apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biotechnology)

Candidates with B.Sc. in Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Food Science/ Nutrition/ Agricultural Science or MBBS/B.Pharm. or B.V.Sc. or BE/B.Tech. in Biotechnology or Biomedical Engineering or BAMS from a recognized university in India are eligible to apply.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Botany)

Candidate must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in Botany/ Plant Science/ Life Science from any recognized University. Candidates in the last year of undergraduate program can also apply.


How to Apply

Christ University conducts the application process in a four month long window. The application process for all PG courses is conducted both online and offline.

Offline Application Process

In order to apply to the course through direct mode, the applicant can obtain the application form at the following address:

After remitting the application fee, candidates can then submit the application form online through the following link: http://offlineapp.christuniversity.in/

The application form will not be considered valid if not filled nad submitted online.

Online Application Process

The online application form can be filled on the official website. The application fee for online application can be paid via Credit card/ Debit card/ Netbanking. Candidates in the NRI/ OCI/ PIO/ Foreign Nationals category can pay the application fee through demand draft drawn in favor of Christ University, payable at Bangalore. Candidates must send a duly signed printout of the online application form to the University.

Both online and offline applicants must send filled in application forms to the University with necessary documents. Please note, that the required supporting documents should be sent in an A4 size Envelope only. Candidate must not forget to mention the name of the program they have applied for and their contact number on the envelope.

Selection Process:

Master of Arts [MA] (Clinical Psychology)

The selection process involves an entrance test, followed by Skill Assessment Test and Personal Interview. Skill Assessment Test will have questions to test a candidate’s written and communication skills as well as their reasoning ability.

The entrance test will be of two hours duration and will have 120 questions carrying 1 marks each. For every correct answer the candidate will get 1 marks and for every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted. The syllabus for entrance test is given below:

Master of Arts [M.A.] (Media and Communication)

The selection process for this course involves a Group Discussion, Skill Assessment Test and Personal Interview. The Skill Assessment Test is designed to evaluate a candidate’s communication ability and logical reasoning ability. The Group Discussion will involve topics related to topics of current affairs and social importance.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics)

The admission to M.Sc. Mathematics course is on the basis of a candidate’s performance in Christ University Entrance Test. The entrance test is followed by a Skill Assessment Test and Personal Interview. The entrance test will have topics from Mathematics at degree level.

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Computer Science & Applications) , Master of Science [M.Sc] (Computer Science) & Master of Commerce [M.Com]

The selection process consists of a Skill Assessment Test followed by a Personal Interview. The Skill Assessment Test will evaluate a candidate’s written skills, communication skills, and logical reasoning.
