Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai offers M.Chem. Engg., M.Tech., M.Pharma. and Post Graduate Programmes. ICT offers M.Tech. in 11 different specializations and 3 different specializations in M.Pharm. The university offers 4 different specializations in M.Sc.
The application process for PG courses at ICT can be completed online. The basic qualification required for applying to PG courses at ICT is an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. There are separate selection criteria for M.Tech., M.Pharm., and M.Sc. courses.

Candidates applying to Master of Chemical Engineering program or any of the M.tech. programs offered at ICT must fulfill any of the following eligibility criteria:
M.Tech. In Bioprocess Technology
Apart from the eligibility conditions mentioned for M.Tech. courses, candidates with B.Pharm. degree with 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
M.Tech. in Food Biotechnology
Candidate must have passed B.Tech. degree in Food Engineering and Technology from either ICT or any other recognized university/institute.
Candidate must have a B. Tech. or B.Sc. (Tech.) or B.E. in Food Engineering and Technology/ Food Engineering/ Food Technology
/ Food Science/ Food Process Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Dairy Technology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering/ Pharmaceutical Technology/ Oil Technology from a UGC recognized university/institute.
M.Tech. in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or B.tech. degree in Pharmaecutical Technology or Biotechnology or Biochemical Engineering or Bachelors in Chemical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for candidates in Backward Classes).
M.Tech. in Green Technology, M.Tech. in Perfumery and Flavor Technology
Candidate should have a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc. (Tech.) or B.Tech. in any branch of Chemical technology/biotechnology or B.Pharm. with 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for candidates in Backward Classes).
Candidates with M.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology or Biochemistry can also apply.M.Pharm
The candidates applying for M.Pharma. must have a B.Pharma. degree with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. The minimum marks required for candidates belonging to Backward Classes is 55%.M.Sc
Candidate must have a B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as a major subject and Mathematics at H.S.C. level with at least 60% of the marks in aggregate or equivalent grade average.
M.Sc. Engineering Mathematics
Candidate should have passed B.Sc. with Mathematics as a major subject or B.Tech./B.E./B.Sc. (Statistics) with at least four Mathematics courses from a UGC/AICTE recognized university/ Institute. Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination with at least 55% of the marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (50% for the students from reserved category only from Maharashtra State) are eligible to apply. The candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination in one sitting will be preferred.
M.Sc. Physics (Material Science)
Candidate must have B.Sc. degree with Physics at the third year of the course of any University recognized by the UGC and must have passed the qualifying examination with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA for the backward class candidates) are eligible to apply. The candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination in one sitting will be preferred.
M.Sc. Textile Chemistry
The candidate should have passed B.Sc. degree with Chemistry from any University recognized by the UGC and passed the qualifying examination with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA [50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA for the backward class candidates] are only eligible to apply. The candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination in one sitting will be preferred.
Apart from the regular eligibility criteria, candidates applying under the sponsored criteria have to fulfill the following conditions as well:
1. The candidate should be a full time industrial/ R & D employee with at least two years experience in a chemical or allied industry or dealing with chemical business or should be a permanent teacher having full time teaching experience of at least two years in any recognized Engineering and Technology College.
2. The industry/ college/ University/ Institute management where the candidate is serving must undertake the responsibility of releasing the candidate for course work (theory Classes), experimental work (Laboratory work) or discussions with the concerned research guide from time to time.Master of Engineering [ME] (Plastic Engineering)
The candidate applying for M.E. must have passed B.E. or B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Plastics Engineering / Polymer Engineering / Production Engineering /Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Plant Engineering or any post-HSSC four year degree course from IIT/NIT or any University/ Institute recognized by the UGC/ AICTE, with 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA. [55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA for the backward class candidate]

For M.Pharma., the candidates will be selected on the basis of the merits in GPAT. For M.Tech., the candidates will be selected on the basis of their GATE score.
For M.Sc. courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of the written examination followed by an interview conducted by the respective department of the University.
