There is a minimum percentage criteria and students who are eligible as per that criteria generally get the job. In a batch of 120 students 80-90 are eligible and nearly 70-80 are placed. Companies like Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Newgen, Unified Cloud, Kronos, Zia semiconductors, Samsung, Ericsson, Fibcom and many more. Salary package range from 2.5 lakh to 7 lakh per year.
College have contacts with few companies where in students get the intern after a selection process. But as this number is very less, most of the students apply through internshala or may be through their links in few companies. Also, there are students who don't even bother to get a intern, they simply prepare for GATE, CAT, GRE and present a fake photo shopped certificate at the time of presentation.
Placements for CS , IT and EC is more than 90%. For other branches no placement guarantee. Mechanics, civil , instrumentation and control. Placement is of around 4 5 lakhs.
Yes college provides internship. But only to some students and Department. But that internship is not that good. Better to take offline placements and internships.
With JSS, you get job placement assistance. On successful completion of a course with JSS, our Placements Team helps you get interview opportunities with major companies in IT & other industries.
Yes, college provide internship.
The placements are above average. In non-core branches lik CS-it Everybody gets placed in a range of 3 to 12 laks per annum. The GATE scenario is pretty good and lot of students get through. Mechanical department and EC department had a lot of research opportunities.
The college does have a STEP which has a lot of start ups going in it which offer internships. There are training programs offered through the college though.
As far as IT and related branches are concerned they do an alright job. Almost everybody is placed. But when it comes to core branches like mechanical and civil, they lag behind on placements in the core sector. Core student can get placements in IT companies though. The least supportive administration you will ever come across but for some unknown reasons the students are exceedingly enthusiastic and usually go out on strikes literally to get things done and it's not like they always fail.
Our college have a very good placement and job cell. Specially for cs it is the best college of uptu. It provides to most of the students. Although cs department gets favor over other branches but still placement percentage is over 70 % which i think is more than enough for this type of institution.
Yes our college gives time and provide for internships to those who are willing and and some knowledge on the subjects.
The Avg stipend is around 5k for Avg cse( computer science, IT, ec branch) student,if you are the brilliant student you can get up to 10-15k avg Salary package for placement is around 3.2 lakhs-4 lakhs. Highest salary package goes around 7k this year so far. Placement is just average if you want to get Avg salary package then its quite easy. But if you want a higher package you need to work really hard, and by hard I mean really hard. for core branch its is to difficult.
But You will get an internship with the help of college if you are among Top 5 students of the class, else you need to use intern shall or the references.
For core branch student placement chance from college is very less. And for other companies like wipro, tech mahindra, infosys etc come for student selection from college. For selection they define some eligible criteria like percentage in b.tech must be more than 60 or 65.
No, for internship they only can suggest for which type of company you should perform. They are lots of company who provide internship for college student . In these company you can do internship if you interested.
In my MCA department 17 students out of 60 are already placed and companies are still visiting our campus. Some students got package as high as up to 7.5 lacs per annum (certainly a satisfactory package for a fresher unless you are from IITs/NITs etc). Others also received good package, 6 lacs per annum being the average package.
Every year each department of our college receives an adequate internship experience. This year many reputed companies such as TCS visited our college's campus. I am not accurately aware of the stipend offered but it was certainly a good amount.
Pretty irregular, placements were very poor for the batches that pass out in 14 and 15 (that was mine) but unexpectedly 16 batch had a very good year in terms of placements. This year (16') most of the students who were eligible to sit in placements got at least one offer letter (as far as I know from juniors other sources) . Three 3 major mass recruiting companies visited college that too within first 4 months of 7th semester.
No college does not have any involvement in getting students internship, it's solely your responsibility.
