IMI is good in terms of academics, but it needs to buck up on other areas like placements and extra curricular to be able to really justify all the top ratings that it keeps featuring on.
I think IMI is a very good B School which can be a very good launch platform for anyone who is looking for MBA to start a good corporate career.
The college is good for someone who is looking for a place to study beyond the IIMs.
College management was more MDI type as management were all MDI profs poached. They were okay, not student friendly policies, discouraged external participation and we students had to regularly fight for our right.
International Management Institute (IMI) was established in 1981 in collaboration with IMI, Geneva. IMI is India’s first corporate sponsored Business School with sponsorship from corporate houses like RPG Enterprises, Nestle, ITC, SAIL, Tata Chemicals, BOC and Williamson Magor etc. The Institute received United Nations Development Program (UNDP) assistance for promoting internationally oriented management education. The main campus is located in Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi and its other campuses are located in Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
Academic Overview: The college offers a wide range of courses which include PGDM, Executive PGDM, FPM, PGDHRM, PhD and many international exchange programs. It has set up following centers of excellence for enriching the knowledge in management field-
