The Bachelor of Business Economics or BBE is an undergraduate degree course in management, offered by various management institutes across the country. The duration of the course is three academic years divided into six semesters. The course is offered by very few colleges in India.
The basic eligibility to take admission in this course is 10+2 pass or equivalent. Admission in this course is done on the basis of marks in qualifying exam. However there are some colleges or universities like IP University Delhi which accept some entrance test’s score for admissions. Average tuition fee for this course ranges between 1 lakh to 3 lakh INR depending on type of colleges.
The main focus of the course is to develop an understanding among the students regarding the corporate world and the financial sector. The course is an in-depth study of various types of economics studies like microeconomics and macroeconomics etc. Most of the students after this go for masters degree, either in the same field i.e. MBE or in MBA stream. Students can also get placed in various industries with an average package of 2 to 3 lakh per annum after completing this course.

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the course is that the student must have completed their 10+2 with subjects as mathematics and English among the four subjects opted by the students. The other subjects can be from the given list:

The major admission process through which a student can take admission to the Bachelor of Business Economics is through an entrance exam. The universities and institutes conduct their individual entrance exam which tests their aptitude about the course. However there are some colleges which offer direct admission on basis of 10+2 marks.
For example IP University Delhi conducts IPUCET for admission to BBA courses in management colleges in Delhi. Other universities which conduct their separate entrance test are, Manipal University conducts MUOET for admissions in its allied colleges.

The selection of the candidates for the course is based on their performance in the entrance exam. Each candidate is evaluated on the basis of their basic knowledge about logical reasoning and general English with a few basic concepts about business and general awareness.
