Admission Process for Bachelor of Business Studies
Admission is strictly based on performance in the entrance examinations conducted by the university. For Bachelor of Business Studies, Delhi University and its affiliated colleges conduct their own entrance examination (DU JAT) followed by 2 more screening rounds, i.e. Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Given below are the details of the Delhi University entrance test and admission procedure for Daly Business School.
DU JAT is a university level entrance examination conducted by the Delhi University and the colleges affiliated under DU. The examination provides admission to management courses such as BBS, BBA, BMS and B.A. in Business Economics. The minimum eligibility criterion required to be fulfilled for appearing in the entrance test is a Senior Secondary qualification from a recognized Board with a minimum aggregate score of 60% in 4 subjects including English, Mathematics, and other two subjects. The minimum eligible percentage of marks required for reserved categories (SC, ST, CW, PWD) is 55%. DU JAT application forms are available from May onwards on the official website of the Delhi University. For General category, the application fee for one course is INR 1000. Shortlisted candidates are called for Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interview (PI). Final selection of the candidates is based on performance in the entrance exam and personal interview/group discussion. The exam is held in the offline mode, usually in the 3rd week of June and the counselling/GD-PI is conducted in the 1st week of July. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and syllabus is based on topics from Business & General Awareness, Reasoning & Analytical Ability, General English & Quantitative Ability.

The Interview round is more of an interactive session with a panel of 3 faculty members including the Director. The aim of the interview is to assess the candidate’s academic knowledge, awareness of current topics, communication and interpersonal skills. The merit list is prepared based on 3 criteria: 40% weightage for Class XII marks, 30% for Aptitude Test and 30% for Personal Interview.
