IIT Hyderabad M.Tech Admission 2017-18

IIT Hyderabad (Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad) has released a notification for admission to M.Tech program. The institute offers seats in three different departments of M.Tech program. The duration of the program is two years. Applicants must have BE/B.Tech degree to be eligible for the program.

The registration window has opened. Eligible candidates can submit the application form on the official website of IIT Hyderabad i.e. www.iith.ac.in. Students need to pay an application fee of INR 500 at the time of registration process. The last date to apply is July 22, 2017.

The selection is done on the basis of written test followed by Interview. Shortlisted candidates in written test will be called for interview round. Qualified candidates will be considered for admission to M.Tech program in IIT Hyderabad.

The M.Tech. Program is offered in the following streams:

Civil Engineering Department:

  • Environmental and Water Resource Engineering
  • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Structural Engineering

Electrical Engineering Department:

  • Communications and Signal Processing
  • Microelectronics and VLSI
  • Power Electronics and Power Systems

Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department:

  • Integrated Design and Manufacturing
  • Thermo Fluid Engineering
  • Mechanics and Design

The registration process has been started. Interested candidates can apply until July 22, 2017. The table given below represents the complete schedule of admission process:

IIT Hyderabad M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

To seek admission to M.Tech program in IIT Hyderabad, applicants must fulfill the complete eligibility criteria mentioned below:

  • Candidates must have BE/ B.Tech degree in relevant stream from a recognized university or Institute.
  • Students must obtain graduation degree with a minimum first class.

IIT Hyderabad M.Tech Application Form

The registration is done in online mode only. Candidates who wish to apply for admission to M.Tech program in IIT Hyderabad can apply on the official website of the Institute. The registration window will close on July 22, 2017.

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of INR 500 at the time of registration process. It can be paid in online mode through Net Banking/ Credit card/ Debit card.

It is candidate’s responsivity to make sure that, all the information which is mentioned on the application form must be correct and similar to the information of original documents. Students have to mention a valid email address or phone number on the application form.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Visit the official website i.e. www.iith.ac.in/.
  2. Click on Admission link
  3. Register by using your email id and password
  4. Login after the confirmation of email
  5. Enter the details asked in application form
  6. Upload the signature and photograph in jpeg format
  7. Image size should not be more than 50 kb
  8. Save the application form
  9. Pay the application fee by either of the available modes
  10. Take the print out of application form for future reference

IIT Hyderabad M.Tech Selection Process

The selection is done on the basis of written test and interview round. IIT Hyderabad will prepare a merit list for shortlisted candidates on the basis of their graduation marks.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Entrance test. The written test will be conducted by Institute on July 27, 2017, at IIT Hyderabad, Kandi Campus.

Qualified candidates on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for interview round. Those who will successfully qualify the interview round will be considered for admission.

Note: Students do not mandatorily need a GATE qualification but it will be an added advantage.
