    REMARKS

College were decent for studying and getting basic knowledge but there were no additional steps taken by college or faculty to make children get more practical exposurr .

  • ENTRANCE PREVIEW

I took College's own entrance exam. Scored 43 out of 50. BMCC had good ranking in all India commerce college (8th ranking as per India Times magazine).
  • FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES

It was most feasible college. There were semester fee and examination fee ranging between 4000-4500. There were no extra fee like development fee etc.

  • 5 /10Ratings

    PLACEMENT WING

There were 5 companies which came for placement. Kirloskar, Tata Motors, KSB pumps, Bhushan Steel and Venky's. All of them offered package ranging 2.5 to 3 lacs per annum.

    HOSTEL FACILITIES

There was decent hostel in campus meeting average quality requirementand a big play ground. I stayed in community hostel outside campus.

  • REMARKS

No major alumni interaction or interaction with senior students. Interaction use to happen for getting contacts for project related work or during annual event.

  • 8 /10Ratings

    FACULTY

Faculty teachers were technically sound, but there was no willingness to teach complete curriculum. Few subjects were skipped as the same were not important from examination.

    CAMPUS LIFE

Campus life was not well as most of the students doing Chartered Accountant course use to bunk the lectures due to their CA classes. There were about 500-600 regular students in college. Ratio was 60:40 boys and girls.

  • EXAM STRUCTURE

There were 4 lectures session during a day of one hour. Few of the subjects were missed by mist of the students. Practicals were offline and were not allowed during the lectures.

  • 7 /10Ratings

    COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

It was overall appropriate as per the need during those days. Few important topics were covered in summarised way in syllabus/curriculum. However overall the curriculum coveredost of the important topic.

  • 6 /10Ratings

    INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES

Internship was not mandatory. For practicals assignment certain projects related to Pune based companies were given. There were no stipend as there were no on-field intership.

  • 6 /10Ratings

    COLLEGE EVENTS

A single Cultural and management event were organised every year at College level. Most of the regular students participated in this annual event. It used to be best event for any college during those days.

  • LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS

There were scholarship programs which I have heard from the other fellow students. College dint had any loan facility. They had tieup with Bank of Maharashtra which was at campus gate for student loan.

There is no entrance exam for Master of Commerce and its on the basis of my graduation report. I had a CGPA of 5.40 overall in my B.Com degree.

Placement -

Our college is visited by many companies and campus placements are held quite frequently. Even back when I was in SK Somaiya, in the same somaiya campus the companies would visit for campus recruitment quite frequently. So lets say job opportunities are pretty moderate in that sense.

Siesities love made me come back.

Remarks -

I loved the college but one thing is it should improve canteen facilities and the campus is too small. It has beautiful and peaceful environment one should join sies if he loves peace and would like to be surronded by friendly people.

Currently I had given ibps clerk exam which was on 6th December 2015 and the exam was good. The exam is best as it includes bank jobs which is secured in my opinion. Interview was good the most common asked questions are about salary expectations, etc.

My experience at sydenham showed me how little I knew.

Remarks -

I have met people from all walks of life at Sydenham. There is no categorization for sobo crowd as such. The principal is very cooperative and there is an open door policy for students to reach out to faculty and the Principal. I haven't seen a college library staff so helpful. Go ahead and explore the knowledge in the books. Sydenham college is a great institution. I recommend every student to go ahead and opt for Sydenham. Be the crowd, don't follow the crowd.

Entrance Preview -

I achieved a first class percentile to be eligible for admission at Sydenham college for the M.Com course. There isn't and 10 years ago wasn't any entrance test for M.Com students one has to complete graduation to be eligible for M.Com most students opt for M.com as it helps them in further studies abroad.
