    COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

The course curriculum at the University that is followed in all the colleges is amazing. The studies in history become more thematic as soon as u enter undergraduation. This helps us in understanding history way beyond wars and kings. The history here also includes history of the masses and south indian history is also given good importance here.

I always had an inclination towards English Literature which went sky rockets after finishing graduation in the same subject. I could also go for Masters but M.A. in English remained my first priority. I appeared for Delhi University's examination for M.A. English and my rank was 78 in general students.

After spearheading a non-profit organization after completing my engineering course is a learning experience but to enrich fine nuances of social work compelled me to take admission in Masters in Social Work(MSW) and after taking counselling from Academicians of repute I found that IGNOU is the best platform for working professional like us.

I had to give an entrance examination which is part multiple choice questions and part is in written form. After that I had to face an interview panel. I don't remember now how much i scored but I guess I scored enough to be a part of the institution.

Placement -

Like I said, placement cell was yet to be put in pace but I heard though some juniors that the placement cell has stared its operations. Some of the juniors get placed in good company like Smart cube etc where they were paid in the range of 40-50 k per month.

For this course, the university of Delhi, department of eas Asian studies conducts it's own entrance examination, which consist of written exam of 75 marks and interview for 25 marks. There are just 40 seats available in the course. I got the 19th rank in the entrance examination.
