There is Wi-Fi service for students. Labs are clean, and classrooms are neat. Sports and games are also a good part. They offer a big athletic track and there are many sports opportunities.

College management is excellent and even though it's a government college, yet the office staff are excellent and quite efficient in their works. Any work which is to be done by the office staff could be done easily. The management is very reliable and listens to all the demands of the students are they make sure that they are met very soon.

There is no entrance exam for admission to this college. It is strictly done on the basis of marks achieved by the student in their class 12 boards examination. There are methods to calculate the merit marks of a student, usually the total marks achieved by the student in best four subjects and the subject opted for the Hons course is added and final merit marks is calculated. Then merit list is published accordingly and on the basis of that admission is done. I chose this college as the faculti...

I didn't have to sit in any exam for opting this course in this college. It was open for all and it had a cut out marks, i.e., getting first division in higher secondary examinations. I chose sociology as it deals with the various points of society and social beings. I wanted to learn sociology because it had many scopes too in future.

I am graduated in Political science from this college in 2014. it is one of the oldest college in Kolkata named after the first president of Indian National congress. The reason for choosing this college is the low admission fees, being the government owned college. It provides high quality educations for more than thousand of out-stationed students from the areas nearby and most of the students take the Rail Route.

There was no entrance exam for the admission to the college. The admission to this college was purely based on the merit marks of ISC or any other 12th board exam score card, and the ones with 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the Honours subject can take up that subject as their honours subject. The students were granted admission on the basis of their merit or marks scored.

Internship -

The college had organised its first Campus Placement Programme for the students presently in their final year and the fresh graduates, in collaboration with PNB Metlife, one of the leading players in the insurance sector. The students were enthusiastic and nervous at the same time as for most of them it was their first exposure to such a big stage and an opportunity which would set their journey on track for life.
