The college is worth it mainly because of the students and the peers we have here. The students is what make IMT what it is and every students ends up adding value to the college and to himself in the course. The college management however needs to give a better push to extracurricular activities and encourage students to participate even outside the classroom.
I opted for this college because of the brand name of IMT, Hyderabad since it is one of the top colleges in Hyderabad. College has good infrastructure.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The college fees are quite cheap and reasonable. The fees were around 40K per year when I was a student. This is not that high and it was quite feasible.
The placement opportunities are excellent. The Training and Placement Cell of the college is renowned for its brilliant placement record. The top companies that visit are Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Morgan Stanley etc. The average package is around 3-5L in the college. The tpc package varies between 18-24L. There are also some companies which offer international placements.
I was a locality from Mumbai so I didn't stay in the hostel. From what I know, the hostel facilities are decent and not that bad. They're as good as most of the other college hostels in India. The mess food is also decent and edible enough to survive in college. I don't know about the rentals or fees since I didn't use the hostel or PGs.
The Alumni network is brilliant and very well connected. If there is help needed from the Alumni for the students be it financial aid or career-related help, the Alumni Association leaves no stone unturned to help the students. The seniors are the best source of knowledge and direction in the college and will guide you better than anyone else if you are willing to approach them.
