All students of the Indian Institutes of Technology Patna (IITP) whose annual family income is less than Rs.9 lakh will be eligible for interest-free education loans for a period of five years, the human resource development ministry said on Thursday. Earlier, the interest subvention scheme was for students whose annual family income was Rs.4.5 lakh.
It is pretty easy to get education loan if you are student of India. For doctorate students they provide 25000 per month scholarship. There are so many scholarship for SC/ST students.
For students whose parents salery is less than 1.5 lakhs are offered a scholarship called MCM. You need to fill a form in the first semester and if you got selected than your college fee is paid by those people. Also, SBI and Canara bank offer loan to the students and it is easy to maintain those because we have there branches inside our college.
College provides a lot of facilities for scholarships and these facilities comes regularly at regular intervals. This has provided a relief from the high fee of the college. For PhD, they provide the scholarship without a single day delay.
The Institute offers merit-cum-means scholarship to 25% of undergraduate students. Several other scholarships are announced from time to time. Bank loans are also easily available whenever required. Financial help is provided as Institute free studentship and scholarships to undergraduate students belonging to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.
Merit students will get scholarship from government every time also bank will provide the loan easily and on minimum paperwork.
Institute provides Merit Cum Means (MCM) scholarship which reimburse the tuition fee and provide additional stipend to the economically weak students.Also in collaboration with SBI, it provides education loans to its students.
Scholarship was available for economically backward students on merit basis. In that case, the whole fee is reimbursed.
Students avail education loan and scholarship from various places. In the case of Ph.D students, they are funded by the institute (Institure fellows) or CSIR or DST etc.
