MBBS Program offered by AIIMS Delhi is one of the most coveted medical courses across the country. Admission to MBBS Program at AIIMS is conducted through an entrance exam held by the Institute on all India basis. This entrance is followed by declaration of results and counselling procedure for admission. AIIMS Delhi has total of 107 seats where 50 seats are for general students, 27 for OBC, 15 for SC , 8 for ST while 7 seats are reserved for foreign nationals, annually.

The admission is based on performance in admission exam conducted by AIIMS. For B.Sc., students must fulfill following eligibility criteria
The entrance examination is conducted for all the bachelor programs. The entrance exam pattern of all courses is enlisted below:
The entrance exam will be conducted in 11 cities. The seats will be filled strictly on merit on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates at the Entrance Examination conducted by the Institute. The Entrance Examination will be conducted in English language only. One paper of 2 hours duration and consisting of four parts containing objective type (Multiple Choice) Questions. The marks distribution is given as per following table:
The Entrance Examination for Bachelor in Optometry / B.Sc. (H) Medical Technology in Radiography Courses will be conducted in Delhi only. One paper of 1.5 hours’ duration and consisting of objective type (Multiple Choice) questions in four parts of 30 questions each in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. The candidate may either attempt biology part or Mathematics part.
The admission to B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) is done on basis of two rounds of assessment i.e. Written Exam and Personal Interview
Admission will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by candidates in St1age-I & Stage-II.
AIIMS Delhi provides various PG courses like Msc in various domains like nursing, pharmacology, biophysics, etc. The admission is based solely on basis of entrance exams. The number of seats available at various courses is enlisted as:

For admission at M.Sc./M. Biotechnology, the candidate must possess one of the following qualifications and have secured at least 60% marks for General/OBC candidates (55% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in the qualifying examination:
(a) MBBS/BDS (55% for Gen/OBC & 50% for SC/ST Categories)
(c) B. Pharmacy
(d) Bachelor of Physio-therapy (4.5 year course)
(e) B.Sc. degree of minimum three years’ duration in any subject.
Note: The admission requirements for M.Sc. Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physiology,
Pharmacology and M. Biotechnology is the same as mentioned above, but the requirements for (i) Perfusion Technology (ii) Nuclear Medicine Technology, will be as mentioned below:
(i)Perfusion Technology -B.Sc. with Biology (Botany & or Zoology) OR B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology from a recognized University.
ii) Reproductive Biology and Clinical Embryology – B.Sc. degree in any of the discipline related to Biology or allied to Biology.
(iii) Nuclear Medicine Technology- B.Sc. degree courses in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized University.
The question paper for M.Sc./M. Biotechnology courses will be of 90 minutes duration consisting of 90 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 90 marks in the subject in which the candidates has applied.
AIIMS Delhi MD, MS, MCh & DMMD Admission 2017-18
AIIMS gives admission to various master’s courses like MD, MS, MCh and DM.
Selections for D.M./M.Ch/MD (Hospital Administration) courses are made through 2-Stage Performance Evaluation basis:
AIIMS provides admission to PHD programs. It conducts entrance exam and interview for admission process in three stages. There are total 43 seats for admission. A candidate seeking admission to the course of study leading to the award of a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy must possess at least one of the following qualifications:
1. (a) Medical qualification: MBBS/BDS with minimum 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS/MDS/ DM/MCh in the subject concerned or Diplomate of National Board of Examination. Candidates who have obtained any of these degrees from medical colleges which are not recognized by the Medical Council of India shall not be eligible to apply.
(b) Nursing Qualification: Candidates holding M.Sc. degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks in Nursing Specialty will also be eligible for Ph. D admission in College of Nursing.
2. Non-Medical – For nonmedical candidate’s eligibility shall be Master’s Degree (two years course) awarded by Indian Universities or equivalent in the subject as per requirement of the
Selection for Ph.D. registration will be through a three-stage performance evaluation as under:
Stage I: 30 Marks (30 MCQs of 1 Mark each) Aptitude related MCQs covering English (written and verbal skills), Biostatistics, Research Methodology, Cell Biology, Lab Technology etc.
Stage II: 40 Marks (40 MCQs of 1 Mark each) Subject related theory based comprising Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of MD/MS/MDS/M.Sc. Entrance level.
Total Marks: 70 (30+40) - Stage I & II
Total Duration: 90 Minutes - Stage I & II
Stage III: Out of the candidates who secured 50 percent or above in the written test (Stage-I & II plus the special weightage), candidates 3 times the number of seats advertised will be called for departmental clinical/practical/lab based assessment (carrying 20 marks).
Its AIIMS PG Entrance test which is going to conduct twice yearly in MAY & NOV in nov 2013 exams i got all india rank of 35 & in counseling i got O&G. Its india's no. 1 ranking college in medical field. Also i had given a NEET PG in dec 2013 but its results were quiet late 7 counselling process extended ut to march 2014. As my choice was md medicine, i was eligible for that in almost every college in India but i didn't change. The reason is i love the work.
