For Environmental Engineering, the situation was bad during my placement year. Around 3-4 companies came on-campus to recruit Environmental Engineers with really low packages (around 3-4lpa). Getting placed in on-campus Environmental firms is hard unless you have a stellar profile. Other students with average profiles grab equal packages if they are willing to search for off-campus jobs. Students interested to stay in Environmental do get jobs (again 3-4 lpa off-campus). If you are interested in higher packages, you would have to consider non-tech placements (Business Analyst profiles) or software jobs. Their pay packages are anywhere from 4-30 lpa (for B.A. profiles) and 6-25 (for Software ...
Again, talking specifically for Environmental Engineering, there are not a lot of opportunities but that is still a better situation than other colleges. Delhi helps you get access to a lot of industries and startups. There were some on-campus opportunities for internships in Environmental Engineering. Otherwise, you can always go for non-tech opportunities if you are not interested in Environmental Engineering.
There are ample amount of job opportunities at DTU with around 250 companies visiting the campus for placements. The profile varies from software coding profiles and core engineering jobs to consulting and business analyst. The average package hovers aroung 6-6.5 LPA, with the minimum offered by the mass recruiters such as Infosys, TCS which pays around 3.6 LPA to Goldmann sachs which offers 28LPA. Few companies visit offering more than 30LPA as well. A couple of companies offer international placements as well.
Yes it does, but there are a very few college internship opportunities present there. Companies that visit the campus for internships are Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, handful of software and coding internships. The stipend varies from 20K to 60K per month.
Whoever so participated in the placement session got placed in reputed firms. The first company to visit our college was Bajaj Motors for our branch. More than a 200 companies visited our college till the end of the session. Also, post graduation placement were held to achieve 100% placement.

Placement from Delhi college of engineering is very good. Many well reputed companies offers job there after conducting a short examination and interview. For civil engineering there was a fight for core companies as that time only software companies were more interested in picking up the students via placements.
Internships were provided in Post Graduate courses. The amount was Rs. 5000 per month for M.E. courses which was handed over in the form of cheque at the end of four months.
Our college has a total strength of 1570 in 2K16 batch and from them approx. 400 are not eligible or do not sit for students.From the remaining students almost 95% students gets placed. There are various companies that visit dtu every year some of them are:futures first, zs associates, smart cube, tata motors, exl services, evauleserve,tata power, google, goldman sachs, BCC, Mckinsey, vedanta resources, escorts agri machinery, daikin, boston consulting group, axtria and many more. Around 280 companies visited for 2016 batch. Average package of dtu revolves around 5-6 lakhs.

Many of the leading companies like google and amazon come to the campus the maximum package was 1.27 crore by google . This year one senior of MCE got 30 lakh from amazon. There are a bunch of guys who got amazing packages from various leading companies, but there is one thing in common to these great package holders that all were awesome in coding.

Only Computer science and IT students are placed at higher salaries than other streams. Their average package is around 6-7 lakhs p.a. Those in core streams like me can expect an average offer.Some of the recruiters are Microsoft, Google, IBM, Accenture, TCS, Wipro etc

Top companies like google, amazon, renowned MNC come for college placements. They offer a good package starting from 8.0 lac - 60 lac per annum. Nearly all students get placed. But part time students are not allowed to participate in placements as they are already placed.
For M.tech part time course internship is not required. But regular M.Tech students get stipend of around 8k .
The Placements and Job opportunities are much higher at DTU, almost 100%. DTU provides a good environment for students to go through academically great. And the companies want great students to hire. So, our college has good reputations in placements and job opportunities.
Yes, Our college provide internship for all year students. It provides internship in multiple fields, it is on you that which path you choose for an internship. They provide certifications for the internship which will help you in Campus selections.
