Almost all the 2nd Gen IIMs follow a similar fee structure. Fee for 2 year PGDM course is somewhere around 10.5 lakhs.Students can avail educational loans from various banks at lower interest rates (subjected to the changes in bank policies). Students who excelled in academics received scholarships.
Almost all IIMs follow a similar course structure with focus on basic concepts and theories of all domains in first year and exploring in detail of them in the second year. IIM Rohtak follows case study approach rather than just explaining the theory.
For FPM programme there is no fee, we get stipend of 25000 per month for first 2 years and 30000 for next 2 years. However for Post Graduate Programme(PGP), the total fee is 1050000 for 2 years with additional refundable fees (28500 first year, 17000 for second year). For both the courses the mess charges are 9000 per term.
My area of specialization is IT and Systems. First year we studied the PGP course. From second year onwards we have to study our area of specialization subjects followed by Mini thesis submission and then start of our research work.
The total course fee is in time of 10 lakhs which is very much affordable. One can easily get loans. Sbi, Icici offer loans on the first day of joining.
The three trimesters in the first year was common for all where subjects related to marketing, HR, finance, strategy and operations were taught. Later I chose operations and marketing. Marketing electives were - advertisement, sales promotion, consumer behavior, internet marketing, b2b marketing, market research, statistics in marketing etc. In operations we had inventory management, supplier selection, General supply chain management, lean manufacturing etc.
